Wow Parineeti Chopra and Fawad?
That's great. Finally Fawad will get a heroine who can match up to his acting skills in Bollywood.

Fawad Khan doesn't believe in competition

TNN | Jun 15, 2016, 03.43 PM IST
He made a sizzling debut inBollywood with 'Khoobsurat' in 2014. But this year, Fawad Khan's performance in 'Kapoor & Sons' catapulted him into the big league. Now he is soon going to be seen in the Karan Johar directorial 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'.

When asked about his competition in B-Town, the 34-year-old Pakistani actor said that he doesn't keep track of what his contemporaries in Bollywood are doing. But if he hears about a good film, he watches it.

Fawad doesn't feel the need to compete with anyone. He believes in competing with himself and bettering his own craft.

New interview of FK from Hindustan Times today
It takes time to learn new things'

Fawad Khan says he doesn't keep track of what's happening in Bollywood; adds that "you should compete with yourself, and better your craft"

After making his Bollywood acting debut with Khoobsurat (2014), Fawad Khan (right) worked in Kapoor & Sons. He is also part of film-maker Karan Johar's upcoming directorial venture. But the actor says he doesn't keep track of what his contemporaries in Bollywood are working on, the films that make news in India.
"I should [keep track], but I don't (smiles). However, if I hear of something good, I go and watch it. When, for the longest time, your cinematic influence has been Hollywood, it becomes a little difficult to make that transition (to watch Bollywood films regularly). It takes time to learn new things, and to understand who is making what. So, I don't follow [the Hindi film industry] closely," says Fawad.
The Pakistani actor says he is aware of the "wonderful regional cinema in India", including a recently released Marathi film, which has become a big hit. "These are the films to watch out for. But as a Pakistani, I don't have the luxury to watch such works. I come to India for work. So, I don't get enough time to watch a film in a theatre when I'm in India," he says.
The 34-year-old, who has done several shows on TV as well, also doesn't see the need to compete with anyone. "I strongly believe that someone can come in and take your place tomorrow, but that's not an excuse to start competing with others. You should compete with yourself, and better your craft. If you look at what others are doing, then you just become a me-too person instead of evolving as an actor," says the Pakistani actor.

NO DHADKAN SEQUEL FOR FAWAD

Of late, rumours have been doing the rounds that Fawad has given his nod to the Dhadkan (2000) sequel. But sources close to the actor insist that "this news is not true". A source adds, "Fawad was in India recently, and met a few film-makers vis--vis his future projects. But no official statement has been made about his new films." Fawad couldn't be reached for a comment.
