I do not think its about second lead... most of these roles are parallel leads with almost same screen time for both the leads...

Well maybe I feel he himself is not confident that he can carry the burden of a film on his shoulders. He is still not a salable actor in Bollywood in all honesty.

Btw, if he was doing maulajutt, that was not a lead kind too, the hero and anti hero has same weightage.

Its always performance that is remembered whether its full fledged role or small one . but as reading some articles ,Imroze seems to have great impact in Amrita,s life and knowing this that she loves Sahir But found to be quite intrigue biopic . Needs actors who can deliver and are best as in the theater Dipti naval is best one in the league of Shabana , Tabu .

In fact I have read every discussion after watching an episode at I-Forums, talksoap@wordpress by neerja and some other forums as well. The really enjoyed the way the perception changes..rather evolves after reading.

I have watched all the promo interviews of Khoobsurat ( I think ;-) ).

Two things that I have noticed so far ... FK get fidgets with his belt while seated for talking (interviews and ZGH) and he wore shoes without socks for all his promo interviews...😆😆

Nobody is saleable when they start. Even today after so many films Ranveer is giving disasters. Its about making yourself saleable. Thats why I am apprehensive about second leads. You get slotted easily. There is a question of FK's nationality too. One incident and his film will come into danger as he is like the face of Pakistan in India. But he should do films with as strong paralell lead or as one of the protagonists.

There is a play on Amrita-Sahir love story and Deepti Naval essays Amrita's role.

Yes he is not the most saleable actor in bollywood, bit I do not think he isan underconfident professional. If that was the case, he never would have branched put from his comfort zone, played the gamble and chose to work in an industry where responses to his countrymen is primarily lukewarm. He wants to play safe I agree but wants to sail through with big names associated as he is not confident of his abilities is am wrong assessment imo. Sorry bt thats little hard to believe after following him fr long.
