Rest aside, but you're mistaken about what Fawad said completely.
Fawad never said all of what you're saying. He was asked who does he consider at the top in bollywood, and he replied no one. The second question was which actor does he find overrated in bwood, and he said Kareena.

Everything else you're saying...he NEVER said.

I don't have access to that interview anymore.
Please do listen to it. he did talk about the respect given in India part in context with him willing to consider only good projects in BW.

very true, Its so nice that he is giving back with his heart and his soul. Its so obvious. That is making him even more loved.

But Katrina, Nargis Fakhri also have been treated very well. You might say because of Salman factor or whatever, but its BW welcomes everyone. People like Riya Sen 😕 and south indian stars too!

Yes its the Salman factor why Katrina was treated well...for Nargis she was basically supposed to be Ranbir's gf. Either way they had some strong connect to a BW family or someone powerful in BW. Remember Saif's firangi gf Rosa? When she was dating him she got so much importance. After the breakup no one gave her a second look.
Other folks who made had to work really hard-Atif, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Zafar, Adnan Sami before they gained respect from the media.

IMHO Ali Zafar has acheived much more than Jr AB!😆

I also want to add...whether its KS or the adulation he is getting currently its only because of his good work in Pakistani shows. So people should be happy that he is able take the next big step ahead due to Pakistani shows only.

Hmm...I skimmed through the interview and he was never asked about bollywood at all except for those 2 questions above. The RJ even had a segment where she spoke about movies and TV shows in specifically, and Fawad talked about American shows etc. .but Bollywood never came up once.

Yes, in that segment he also mentions the hollywood stars he draws his inspiration from.
please do listen to it in detail again. I also remember reading a lot of discussion on this respect issue and him being complimented for it by fans.

Given that, maybe that's the reason they feel he has let them down, as they never wanted him to come here and were delighted with his statements.

I wish I had access to the site I heard it on, I would have definitely quoted it for you.
I would never say it here, if I had not heard with my own ears, and read the comments with my own eyes.
I just hope just the way, these are not available to us anymore, that they haven't edited those parts out now.

He was never asked about who he draws inspiration from in that segment though? He only talked about American shows and his favorite ones...and then the RJ went on to the messages she was receiving for Fawad.

The interview was always 46 mins because I heard this interview back when it first aired..so I'm sure nothing was edited. Maybe he said it in another interview?...but it doesn't seem like this one. Personally haven't heard Fawad degrading Bollywood or anything of that sort.

The interview we are talking about is called Head Over Heels with RJ Sophie for anyone who is curious. If anyone else listens to the entire 46 mins..then they could perhaps correct me if I'm wrong..but I couldn't find that bit anywhere in this interview.

This is all I remember him talking about in respect to Bollywood during the time Silk was launched.
http://rozpakistan.com/pak/fawad-khan-my-priority-is-my-country/

Here he said if he was offered something substantial in bwood, he would take it up ...otherwise Pakistan is his first priority. And this was around the same time as the interview with RJ Sophie.

I heard the interview recording on the very same day. I think it was in Aug of 2012. I had already watched humsafar and was a crazy fan.
I'm afraid I don't remember the length of the show now. I also had it downloaded fm YT, but recently my comp crashed and I lost all the recordings.
I distinctly remember feeling a bit bad hearing that part about BW and Kareena ( I love her too!)but I let it be, because it was his opinion and he was totally entitled to it. My adulation and fangirling wasn't going to stop!😆
I was so crazy about him, I was lapping up everything about him at that time. So I'm sure it was this interview, where he was launching his pret label. I remember so clearly that song from Inna "Sun is up" being played through the interview. It was the same one, wasn't it?

For that matter, he was asked about his fav. BW actor at the launch too, and he did have a change of heart with that question this time. Naturally. :)
