And, Fri thru Sun is usually reserved for the bigger shows, with bigger stars. So, Humtv had it on Saturdays..then Humsafar aired..they took Akbari Asghari out of Saturdays and slated it for Thursdays. They then placed Humsafar on Saturdays. Humsafar was of course Momina Duraid's.

Whatever viewership Akbari Asghari DID have, went out the window with a Thursday slot.

but then again, I have read lots on HUMtv politics. Sanam Baloch not even being nominated in their awards speak volumes. Well, lets not even go there.😕

At the same time, Humsafar was also a gamble because it was a new show...so not too sure what made them think it had a sure shot of working over AA..but Momina Duraid is Humtv's CEO's daughter in law...she definitely has more say with her productions over projects by other production houses.

AA was not a Momina Duraid production..meanwhile, Humsafar was. Plus, the makers and actors of Humsafar never expected it do well..at least having it for a Saturday slot guaranteed some viewership.

I really enjoyed Akbari Asghari..I followed it from day 1. It had a lot of potential..but it was never promoted well...neither was it backed by Humtv, the channel that aired it. You move it from Saturdays for some reason..that's not trusting a tv show you're broadcasting. I also have another problem with Humtv..they're not fair in their promotions. They don't promote all of their shows equally. They have their favorites. They'll go to an extreme promoting one show with a certain actor or actress..and then not promote another show AT ALL. As of now, they promote Mahira and Fawad the most.

yeah, there's definitely a political angle to all of this. Sanam Baloch is amazing and definitely one of the best actresses out there..but they tend to snub her a lot..and I find it extremely disappointing. Kankar and Durre Shahwar got zilch promotions. It's a good thing Sanam Baloch can act, gets good scripts, is popular amongst viewers and has a huge fanbase..otherwise, if she were to rely on Humtv to promote her shows for them to become successful, that would be wishful thinking. Sanam Baloch was also snubbed an award for Dastaan at the supposed most prestigious awards, Lux Style Awards..and she wasn't even given a nomination for Daam. I remember the camera focusing on Sanam's face when she lost out to an award for Dastaan which is arguably one of the best female performances in recent times, she was disappointed..she didn't seem happy.

After that. I've never seen her attend a television award show.

Good for her. I like her even more now.
