Actually, I feel it's more related to the mission that Param is on. He isn't villain, especially after yesterday's episode where he seems to miss being a commando. And Karan stays back on hearing Param's name.

I predicted that Param might be on some mission where his identity has to be hidden and hence, he staged this whole drama of being martyred. And now, maybe, Karan also joins him on this mission and hence, this death twist!

Might be wrong, but this would be a good plot!
