"What is that?" Radhika asked.
Dev was about to protest but Purab stopped him, knowing he will only stop her.
"Don't you say anything. I asked her and she will decide." Purab said sternly.
Dev pursed his lips tightly to control his anger.
"Is it a bad thing?"
"No darling. It is a good thing, when we date we get to know each other, spend some time, have fun with each other."
"And try your chances." Dev said mockingly.
"What chances?"
"Nothing. Tell me would you like to go in a date with me?"
"If you are happy then I will go." Radhika replied.
Dev groaned while Purab shouted in glee.
"But Dev will come with us." Radhika said.
Dev sat up with a wide smile, Go Radhika!
"But why?"
"I can't leave him alone, I will not be able to protect him."
"Yes, Radhika. It is your job to protect me, you can't just leave me alone."
"Shut up, jerk! We won't take long, honey."
"But---"
"And we will be near the house, near the pond." He pleaded.
"If it is near the pond it is fine but we will be back early."
Damn! She agreed! Just like that! What about protecting him!
"Of course baby, anything you say." He said with a grin.
"So tonight we'll go for a date, I bought you dress also---"
"You bought her a dress!"
"Of course, I am not like you who wouldn't buy her any gift."
"Its because I don't have money or I would've bought the whole mall for her! And I would never ask you for money."
"Good for me. I'll bring the dress, you wait here." He said and left into the room.
"How can you say yes?"
"Why? You're jealous?"
Dev gave her a stunned look, yes he is jealous but she wouldn't comment about it, she wouldn't even know about it.
"I bet Purab told you that."
"Yes, he says you are jealous of him that's why you fight with him."
"yes, I am jealous, very jealous because I want you for myself. I want no one to share you, call me possessive or anything, I don't care."
"Why are you angry?"
He let out a deep breath, just like he thought, she doesn't know jealousy because she is not a human unless she feel it herself, she wouldn't understand.
"If I give my whole attention to some other girl you will get angry too." He said.
"Why would I be angry?"
"Because that is human nature and you wouldn't understand."
"Why? Isn't she human?" Purab asked as he came back towing two shopping bags with him.
"Is that the dress? Let me see your choice, if it's pervert I'm---" Dev said, trying to change the subject.
"Why don't you try it? Go but don't show it us. Just see if it fits you." Purab said and handed over the bag to her which she took with smile.
"Do you need say that in front of her every single time." Purad growled as she left the room.
"Of course. So she would know your true nature, that's if she understand the meaning."
"I'm glad she doesn't. And FYI I am not the only boy who is pervert, you are too, it is not me who kissed her."
"She kissed me the second time, it means she want me not you."
"I haven't kissed her yet so you can't say she want you only."
"And you're planning to do that in your shitty date."
"Exactly." He said with a grin.
"If you did anything to her or took advantage of her, I'm gonna kill you."
"I am not going to take advantage, it's just a date, what you're thinking is not gonna happen unless she wants it. And don't forget you kissed her too, don't be hypocrite."
"I'm not being hypocrite just warning that she is very innocent so don't take advantage of her."
"How many times will I repeat that I am not going to take advantage."
"I still don't believe you."
"Then it's not my problem."
"It fits." Radhika said as she approached them.
"Great so be ready tonight."
"Let's go Dev." Purab said.
"Where?"
"Of course preparations, there's no one else to hel---"
"Like hell! It is your date, prepare it by yourself."
"Come on dude, didn't I help you when you needed."
"Stop blackmailing me!"
"I can help you." Radhika suggested.
"No baby, it is a surprise for you. Don't worry Dev will help me."
"Says who?"
"Me. Now get up."
"I---"
"You are going or I will do what you asked me not to do."
"Try it buddy and see if you are alive."
"Told you before she's worth anything."
Dev fumed as he shouted "Let's go!"

Both Dev and Purab's jaw dropped as they looked at her, looking exceptionally beautiful in the black dress reaching till her kneecaps, brightening her fair skin, her black raven hair flowing from her shoulders, she wore no make up, no accessories yet she looked beautiful like a goddess, she is a breathtaking beauty.
"What happened?" Radhika asked when she got no answer and were constantly staring at her.
"You're so beautiful." Dev said in mesmerized tone.
"Yes, you're smokin' hot." Purab added.
Dev gave a deadly glare at him while Purab bit his tongue for his comment.
"Let's go, baby." Purab said and stretched out his hand while Radhika placed her hand on top his own.
"Just few warnings, keep her safe, from yourself especially, keep your damn hands off her, no taking advantage of her."
"Ok, Dad." Purab said with a grin.
Dev fumed and replied "Don't call me Dad."
Purab chuckled and held her elbow, "Let's go Radhika!"
"Bye Dev." Radhika said with a grin.
Dev scowled at her, she have the nerve to say bye to him, damn her! Only he is worrying about her virginity even though he is a man, foolish girl!

"He is sad and angry." Radhika said to Purab who was leading her way.
"No, darlin', he is just jealous, don't worry about him."
"I don't like him sad." She replied.
"Now I'm getting jealous, why don't we talk about us."
"What about us?"
"About how do I look? You haven't said anything about my looks."
"You look beautiful."
"What? Beautiful? I'm not a girl, it is handsome."
"You look handsome."
"Why are you so innocent?"
"Innocent?"
"Yes, you are..like there's something different about you?..I'll get to point, honey, I think you are not human."
"Just because I'm innocent?"
"Not because of that, just forget it for now, we'll talk about that later. Let's enjoy our date. Here we are."
Both looked at the scenery, it was simple yet beautiful, the water was glittering like silver by moonlight, only creaking was heard, gentle breeze was felt, the place was romantic, perfect for two lovers.
Her gaze fell on the large picnic basket and spread blanket, her smile widened at the thought of food.
"Let's go." Purab said and gently held her hand.

Dev clutched his fist then unclutched it, clutched it again, he let out a frustrating sigh as he fell on the sofa.
"Stop thinking about it, Dev!" He gritted out.
He need distraction, he need to cool down, yes, he need some beer, thanks to the shopping they did two days back, they bought lots of beer, that would definitely cool him down.
He stood up and brought a whole case of beer, he slumped back at the sofa as he gulped down the chilled liquid. Satisfied, he switched on the television, a beer in hand, snacks on table and sports on the screen, perfect distraction! He wished his friends were here.
What could they be doing? Dev! Distraction! Divert your mind! Watch sports!
"Go..Go..Make a move!..Damn!...Come on! Go for it!...And..it's a goal!" Dev shouted aloud.
You look silly Dev! I am silly! A foolish, stupid person to let them go for a date! she does want him, he know that but he is being a good guy when he shouldn't be and giving themselves time to realize if it is really love or mere physical attraction. But because of this Purab is getting every chance to be close with her and what if she became his, where will he go?
Now that he wonder, is it really love, does he love her? He desire her greatly, is obsessed about her, care for her, feel protective about her, get overly jealous for her. Is it just because she is helping him? Just because she is beautiful? Just because she is pure from heart? Just because she is innocent?
Can I spend the rest of my life with a woman who is not even a human? Can I live without her?
There are too many questions but where are the answers? That is a question as well.
Dev tried to take another gulp but nothing passed his mouth, he looked at the bottle, it was empty then he looked at the table, the whole case was empty, he drank the whole case! All ten bottles of beer!

"So you've made your choice, it is Dev you want." Purab said gently as he removed the black tresses from her face. He asked her for a dance which she agreed, he felt the strong urge to kiss her and he did but he felt something missing from her side, the spark he guessed.
"How can you say that?" Radhika asked.
"Because we kissed and you are not very much into it. And last I remember it was you who kissed him back."
"Because I liked it. I couldn't understand what happened to me."
Purab chuckled and replied "At times like that, you would never understand. Honey, the reason I asked you for a date because I wanted to know who you really want is it Dev or me? But now I know it is him you love."
"I love him?"
"You don't know? You do, dear. The way you look at each other and you kissed him which means that you want him, as far as I noticed it was him you want."
He let out a disappointing sigh, "I always knew it was him you love yet I was trying to get close to you, I was stupid to think that I had a chance when in reality I didn't."
"Don't..be sad." She said comfortingly.
He gave a slight smile and replied "I will be sad no matter what comfort I am given but I'm happy for you at least you are with the person you love. Don't worry about me."
"You will find love."
"I wonder that, I lost my wife in this forest two years back and---"
"was she your wife?" She asked suddenly while Purab frowned.
"Was her name Sneha?" She asked.
Purab looked at her shockingly, how does she know? How does she know about his wife?
"How do---"
"I know her, we found her in this forest injured, a wild beast was attacking her and we saved her"
"What? Tell me! Where is she? Is she fine?"
"She is fine."
Tears welled from his eyes, as he spoke in a hoarse tone "I knew it! she is fine, I knew---Where is she? I wanna me---"
"What happened?" He asked when her expression changed suddenly, she was alert and her attention was somewhere else.
"Dev! He's in danger! We have to go!" She said worriedly and stood up.
"Wait! How do you know?" He asked.
"I can sense it. And I think you shouldn't come home yet."
"What? Why---"
"Because it is dangerous, stay here, I will come back for you. " She said and turned to leave.
"But---"
"Trust me Purab." She said before she transformed into a raven.
"Holy cow! What are you?!" Purab shouted in shock but she was not there to answer him, she flew away leaving only her clothes.
