First Siddhesh Pai and Rashami Desai performed in the Khallas round. The former impressed everyone with her flamenco 'Manmohini act '( Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam) and the latter sizzled the dance floor with 'More Piya' in Salsa style. This was followed by the Spirit Round (Angad Hasija and Hazel). The source added that although both the above rounds were good, the real fun followed later. The girls came up with a superb medley of "Yenna Rascalas and Kuchi Kuchi Rakamma in the De Dana Dan round, their high energy levels and naughty moves really impressed the 3 judges. Rashami Desai was praised for her spunk. When asked to comment on the judges praise, this Pari Hoon Main girl just said, "My get up of a 45 year sari clad south Indian lady was poles apart from what I am in real life." The good markings which this act gave the girls put the onus on the boys, who were expected to match up, if not better their rivals. The Mastkalandars( boys' squad) danced to Kabhi kabhi aditi, as a special dedication to Ms. Chup Chaap – Additi Gupta. This effort was apparently not too liked by the judges who felt it was thanda. At this point, in a bid to spice up matters further, the creative's introduced a new judge's challenge round. Vaibhavi asked both teams to send in one player with a folk number. Here Sangita Ghosh performed to a Naga bamboo folk number. Although this veteran tv actress had hurt her foot, she performed well winning big praises from the judges. Shilpa said that she was impressed that Sangita chose a not very well known form of dance routine. "When Vaibhavi thought of this idea we were under the impression that the contestants will dance to Bhandga or Garba, but you have pushed the envelope. Well done!" Next came Akkshat's turn and he floored everybody with his dedication to Maa Bhavani in the Marathi folk number called Gondhal. This high energy performance moved the judges so much that they all came on the floor to praise him. He apparently scored a perfect 30. The excited actor cum dancer said, "Getting top billing is secondary, but if you put in your best foot forward, they automatically follow." "Vaibhavi who had thrown the folk challenge was impressed with the output, saying that the sheer presence of so much variety in our folk culture makes me to proud to be an Indian." In closing, the source added that the poor host RJ Mantra had to wear a sari. To find out more watch Zara Nachke Dikha on Saturday 9pm. |
