ToI: Sangeeta Ghosh back on TV with ZNKD

Television actress Sangeeta Ghosh, who became a household name as Pammi of Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, is back on the small screen after a sabbatical that lasted three years.

"I'd been working for the last 20 years - I started off as a child actor and then came a stage when I just needed a break. During that period I did get offers for many reality shows, but I was not mentally prepared to let myself be judged. I had seen the pressure that contestants go through while I was hosting Nach Baliye."

But Sangeeta finally agreed to be one of the contestants on the upcoming dance reality show Zara Nach Ke Dikha Season 2. "I never thought I would return with a reality show like Zara Nach Ke Dikha. But I used to watch a lot of television during my break and I loved this show. So when the offer came, I agreed to do it."

As for her aborted Bollywood bid, Dharmesh Darshan's unreleased film Bhanwara, Sangeeta says, "I don't regret it and I never hide the fact that I did that film. We worked very hard on it, but beyond a point what can I do about it? I could have either sulked or moved on."

But what made her take a break from the limelight when she was at the prime of her career on television? "I was never insecure and I don't I regret leaving the industry when I did. I am very happy and content with my life, and that's the most important thing. And I'm glad to be back now. Although everything is the same - the studios, the lights and the work - the only thing that has changed is that it is more hectic. I guess I'll have to get used to it."
