Mumbai:

now you know whom to blame if you don't see me on your tv any time soon: Malaika Arora

Zara Nach Ke Dikha concluded last week, and during the he finale episode, judge Malaika Arora was appalled by the behaviour of the male contestants, especially Bakhtiyaar Irani, who has acquired quite the reputation for rubbing judges and fellow-contestants the wrong way.

Says Malaika, "Bakhtiyaar definitely has a huge chip on his shoulder. Zara Nach Ke Dikha was my fourth reality show, but I've never encountered such bad behaviour."

Sore losers

The male contestants staged an en masse walkout at the grand finale after they realised they were losing. A livid Malaika says, "Can you believe what sore losers men can be? I've always maintained that the male ego is the worst thing in the world. There's no way we women can deal with it. But to come on a reality show, promise to be sporting, and then walk out saying the judges didn't know their jobs was honestly a bit too much. I was aghast."

Temper tackle

Adds Malaika. "I lost my temper and I'm not ashamed of it. The guys really behaved badly, especially Bakhtiyaar, who I noticed had an attitude problem from Day One. He can't take defeat. Since the show was formatted as a men-versus-women thing it was only natural that either the boys or the girls would win. But Bakhtiyaar and the other boys just spoilt three months of the time we all spent together as a family on the show."

What appalled Malaika even more was the fact that Bakhtiyaar actually blasted guest-judge Saroj Khan. "I couldn't believe what I heard when I saw Bakhtiyaar lashing out at Sarojji. Bakhtiyaar really needs to put his ego to rest before going another reality show."

The grand finale was not the only time Malaika faced-off with Bakhtiyaar. "Once earlier, I had intervened on behalf of my colleague Chunky Pandey. The boys proved Indian men treat women as the weaker sex. Luckily, I have a husband who treats me as an equal. Who knows how my son will turn out!"

The experience has embittered Malaika and she may not do another reality show for a while. "In any case, I'd like to take a big break between two shows."

Honesly, Malaika DOES need to take a break from judging. She needs to get her discernment right. And now she cant even admit to her error in judgement.
Not that I'm fond of Bakhtiyaar, I perhaps despise him as much as Malaika... but victory was solely his in the Tashan round.

😆😆 Well said!👏
What really galls me is how all these articles state that the boys staged a walkout when they realized that they were losing.....huh????😕😕....Not even once is a mention made about the blatantly unfair judgement! And Malaika the 'queen of dancing' thinks she knows it all??? I really do hope she takes a break from 'judging'....after all, it takes so much hard work to spend hours looking pretty for the camera and then passing ridiculous judgements on performances. Bakhtiyar may not be the most humble or sporting of ppl out there....but what happened with him and ultimately the team was unfair, period. And that's a fact.

you know what Kim_ i was about to ask the same question, neither Bakhtyar is a actor or singer, all i remmebr is that he was in Nach Baliye 2 with his wife. He didnt start of as a good dacner then but as the show progressed swo did his dancing skills.

i belive what Malaika said was right, it is a competition end of the day, what was the point of walking out or throwing abuse. you are right the judhes made errors in judgement but why are you forgetting you guys are the ones who betted huge amounts of your points and then lost them. if you had not done that atleast you could have the faith that ypu still could win.

walking out was a ridiculous thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
