Exactly my point. I haven't watched the epi yet but that is something that wasn't called for "if" Bakhtiyar made a comment like that. I have said this before as well that Mouni is without any doubt one of the strongest players of the girls' team and even the boys are well aware of it, that's including Bakhtiyar. Mouni has her weaknesses but still when it comes to her performances, she outscores each and every one of those. This is purely my take on the question posed to Bakhtiyar, I feel that even Narayani is much much better than Karishma. Karishma is a good dancer but she doesn't have that elegance/grace while performing, its more of an entertaining factor she gets away with. On the other hand, according to me, Narayani is the strongest player of the girls' team, better than even Mouni due to her expressing factor. She emotes really well along with performing her dance with great finese.
Heyyyy Richaaaaa!!!! Yeah Bakhtiyaar did make a comment as such, but I think it was more like based on song selection and stuff then Mouni & Delu would be his weakest contender. I guess he put himself down in his own answer. Although I think Mouni gave a very good answer when asked the same question. She said basically along the lines that you should never underestimate your opponent nor should you be over confident because anything can happen in those two minutes of performance. Hey Richa really you think Mouni is less expressive???? lol, ya I don't find her expressive much. That's the only piece of criticism I have in regards to Mouni's performance. She is a very good dancer but her face is blank almost half of the time. I liked the "Saiyaan" performance too but at the same time I felt her emotions weren't appropriate, they looked a bit over-done there. She does try to emote but her expressions just don't seem to come out right. Other than her Saiyaan act, the remaining performances done by her had the same issue, they lacked that "expressive" quality, I hate to say it but her face looks blank most of the time. But I still say that she is a very good dancer, its just that one thing if she works on, she can go places. She even sings quite well, a talented girl.
When I say "expressions", I refer to what Madhuri does. I can't think of any other actor from BW industry who can be put at par with her. The way she emotes, the way she brings out those feelings on her face are beyond words. She doesn't even have to dance to work her magic on the audience, her face says it all. If you say like that, then even Aishwarya is a great dancer but what separates Aish from Madhuri is the emotive quality. Everytime I watch "Dola Re", I don't even see what Aish is doing, its only and only about Madhuri in that song and in every other song of hers. That's the magic of EXPRESSIVE Madz.
I think Saiyaan was the most expressive dance of ZND. And this is me saying as a choreographer and as an audience. One of the main things I emphasize on is expressions and in that song she went about and beyond in expressions during that song. I think that is one of the reasons I think she excelled Chaitu in that Khallas round because Chaitu had loud expressions. One does not need to make very loud expressions in order to emote, and I think that is something not many performers take into consideration when dancing.
I on the contrary found Chaitanya's expressions way "better" than Mouni, better not perfect. For me, it was his steps that lacked the charm and the finese. According to me, Chaitanya has a very expressive face and a lot of credit for his dances goes to that quality of his. If you take his "Yoon Shabnami" act, it was more because of his expressions that it clicked with the audience. Had it not been for that factor, he wouldn't have looked that believable and impressive. Similar issue with Bakhtiyar, he doesn't have even a single expression on his face which makes him look like a robot; an artificial dancing nut on the stage.
I also think narayani has her expressive and non-expressive days, her tashan dance to Dil cheez Kya hai required more emotion and she lacked a little bit in that department. But then again this is just my view! 😊
Coming to Narayani, I agree there that her Dil Cheez hai Kya performance wasn't the best one in terms of the expressions quality, but whatever she did was very emotive, very believable. I guess the major problem with that act was that there wasn't anything new, most of the steps were repetitive and it brought a sense of monotiny in the entire performance. That made at least me compare her with other past performances on a similar theme as that like rekha's and madhuri's from devdas. When you see a similar style, you tend to bring in comparisons, and that's what happened with her. Otherwise, she did justice to the seductive act there, again that's my 2 cents.
Regarding Bakhtiyar, he should be a little more diplomatic at times too, it doesn't hurt. Its good that he says what he feels like but it does get a little over the limit "most of the time". But but but.......that's what the show is about; to create arguments, tensions between each other. That's what adds all the mirchi masala in the concept, and they probably do it intentionally. That is exactly why they ask such questions from Bakhtiyar.
I think the show is more about fun and humor between the sexes. I think the boys just make it much more serious and drama-fied then it actually is and supposed to be. Bakhtiyar and diplomatic...HO HI NAHIN SAKTA Richa! 😆-Shweta
Ya, the show is about fun and humour but I feel that lately, they have started bringing all these arguments and what not in the show to get more trps or whatever. At least Manish's incident was a big disappointment and then Bakhtiyar, when everyone knows that he has a habit to give his opinion on pretty much everything, then why ask him in the first place. They ask him intentionally and then the arguments start. He has confessed it himself that he has a habit to dominate and speak out his mind, what else can the guy do now? lol I wonder how Tanaaz tolerates him.
