I don't think there is a misunderstanding per se. Maybe Survi will still manage to give Kartik a surprise after his birthday party and flop Taai's plans..

afteral kartik has not yet confessed his love,leave alone the kiss and embrace.

so best is to bear tayi and survi s face offs , alongwith cute karvi' s romance n their fights.

And all this drama wouldn't be just done to make evil win there must be some purpose behind it! Agar usse late pahunchna hi hain then CVS will not drag it much with prathyusha's dance I am sure survi will somehow manage to reach party may be at the end but she will reach!😛
