Karthik's dilemma!

Karthik is unable to get past the fact that the girl he is so deeply in love with and has married is also madly loved by his younger brother and she was meant to marry his younger brother. The fact that he only married survi, not out of love for her but rather to save her from humiliation as he was already willing to give her up for his brother, but as now he has found out he did not run away from the marriage and was kidnapped and is still kept hostage he feels that his brother has been wronged and he himself has took away his brother's happiness by marrying the girl that he loves. To top this off, igniting fire to karthik's guilt is tai, who constantly reminds him that aniket will be heart broken when he finds out that his elder brother married the girl he loved and dreamt of marrying.

All this is the reason why karthik compels himself to stay away from survi; he in a way is actually doing this as a punishment for himself for the wrong he feels he has done to his brother. Karthik said himself today that nobody has any idea how it feels when you finally attain the happiness you have been seeking all your life and despite that you cannot fully accept the happiness life has given you. Karthik thinks that despite finally getting some happiness in life, he feels he has been deceived and rendered helpless by fate to reject that happiness and push it away from him as he feels he is not deserving of it and that his brother has the right over that happiness.

Karthik has always been the kind of person whose actions are driven by his conscience and he is unable to bear the responsibility of hurting his beloved brother on his conscience, hence why he is acting out of character. What karthik does not realise though is that he is punishing poor survi without any fault of hers, but to him survi has benefitted from this entire incident and aniket has suffered so he is less sympathetic towards her and is prioritising aniket's happiness and best interests over survi's rights as his wife as well as overlooking and supressing his own love and desires for survi.

Karthik is in quite a dilemma but today's precap for tomorrow's episode has made me have more faith in him as he spoke up in favour of survi in front of the almighty tai who he would never speak or listen to a word against. He showed faith in her that she was not capable of doing such a disrespectful thing as causing someone physical harm. Survi in karthik's eyes is the most innocent person in the world who can never harm or think ill of someone, that is why regardless of how much he worships tai and thinks she can never do wrong, he similarly has blind faith in the fact that survi is incapable of hurting anyone and trusts her in every way except from when it comes to survi herself speaking against tai.

Sahi hai. Last episode was so much emotions. Atlast karthik told wht he is going through...

Bang on post ..u have depicted beautifully...the turmoil thorugh which...Kartik is going through...hope cvs handle this with maturityyy fingure crossed and his inner turmoil will never end until he finds out that aniket has moved on in life for this...Aniket also need to act maturely...and hope aniket once written will act acoording to moral conduc not just ...what tayi says

That dialogue of his yesterday was heartbreaking.Also the line " Pyaar karta hun par izhaar nahin kar paata.Ye kaisi majboori,yeh kaisi sazaa "

Totally agree with you about Kartik trusting Survi except when she has to say anything against Tai.But then again Tai has always affected her love for him,that Lata has never told him how Tai & Bhau felt about him & his family,that Tai is doing exactly what Bhau told her to do 12 years ago i.e. to never let him forget what they have done for him,Lata & Shanti,to remind him of it again again & again over the years,to make him feel so grateful so that he would never be able to stand up to them.

But like you said,Kartik is driven by his conscience & so he did that time when he found out Tai wanted to kill Survi & he let her leave when she said he would & refused to believe in anything further she had to say to prove her innocence

Precap is like turning the clock 8 years back when Kartik didn't hesitate to speak up against Tai to ensure Survi's well being.Reminds me of that time when he took a stand & told Tai that Survi was gonna stay in the house cause Shrikant owned half the property,that time when he shouted at Hema,Bindu & Aniket for dragging Survi out of her room & forcing her out of the house,that time when he told Tai he was gonna take Survi,Lata & Shanti with him & leave when he found out Tai's kids were torturing Survi.

As though Tai hated Survi any less,these actions of his further steeled Tai's resolve to make sure Survi stays away from Kartik.

That was then,this is now.Tai is now back to square one right where they left off 8 years ago.Kartik still feels strongly for Survi like anything.Still loves her,still believes in her innocence,wonders at her level of maturity & is still attached to her way way too much.

These were exactly the circumstances under which Tai threw in the Vishakha card to separate Karvi.This time around hope history doesn't repeat itself.

Hope Lata,Raghu & Kishore are able to do what Survi couldn't 8 years ago.
