So Shan exercises in the gym room, resolves to make Asmita as Asmita Ridoy Mazumdar, on the way to his room asks cupid Dadi bua to promise not to think of him as Asmita's pati, then goes to his room, has a bath comes out & puts sindoor (which is the most symbolic of husband act) on Asmita's forehead. So next time when he meets Asmita alone will he say "I put the sindoor because of your blackmail & Ridoy was coming towards us, it has no meaning. You are Ridoy's wife only?" If so then his putting sindoor is nonsense. If he doesn't say anything like that and puts sindoor daily then his resolve to make her Ridoy's wife is nonsense.
Due to this, I couldn't connect with the Shamita scene. As a stand alone scene forgetting what happened before or what's gonna happen after, the scene was good but can't digest it along with the flow of the story.
Ridoy, though a psycho, is more clear cut & knows what he wants & acts accordingly, no room for confusion there.
