After bashing the dumb cop Asmita for days, we finally got to connect with Asmita - the girl. How do I even describe the scene where Shan takes imthehaan of her dosti. OMG, it was so emotional, so very well acted. Kudos to Vrushika Mehra & the director to have made the scene so effective without any OTT acting & drama.
'Mera khud ka faisla lene ka haq cheen liya tumne' - how heavy those words are, so deep. But still she accepts it, wipes his tears & assures her friend to go home in peace & that she will not fail in her dosti ki imtehaan.
It was Vrushika Mehra's episode, she owned the show totally. One could feel the depth of sadness welling up from her, a girl direly missing her mother on her most difficult day which ironically is her wedding day. Her getting ready stoically to fulfil her friend's wish despite dying a thousand deaths inside for the love that can never be expressed/spoken out loud.
Oh that HUG. So well done by both. All the love, longing, regret of what could have been... I was waiting to see who will break the hug & how & was glad that she did it & with a very apt reason too.
A few moments of comic relief with the trio. Did the police officer guy forget that he is only acting the part of Asmita's father? He has totally gone inside his character & wants to save his daughter from a forced marriage?🤣
Overall Wonderful episode, Vrushika Mehra slayed it. I've never enjoyed an emotional episode so much.
