Kuhu had walked away from him without batting any eyelid, without turning back to have another look at him. In her words, “Agar tumhe mud kar dekhungi toh jaa nahi paungi” She had simply left. Kunal could not stop her,because this was her condition if she was to go through with this, she would never stay back. He had agreed, he owed it to the Rajvanshis, to Meenakshi Rajvansh, to Abir. Kunal had forced Kuhu to agree for surrogacy – he wanted to do anything possible to make Meenakshi and Abir stay calmly under one roof. If Surrogacy was the way, he would go through the process. Kunal Rajvansh always put his family up there and everything was below his family in his list of priorities.

(Kuhu sat in the cab sobbing uncontrollably as the cab drove off. She could see Kunal standing there waiting for her to come back to him.She loved this man with everything but going back to that house would mean allowing herself to be emotionally manipulated and be a pawn to Meenu’s schemes. She was simply tired of it.)

(Kunal walked into the house watching Ketu play with the little boy. Mishti and Abir had gone to the NGO. Nidhi Mami and Koslu Mama were in the kitchen getting the food ready for the baby. Parul Maa was with Meenakshi Rajvansh as she was supposed to be. He sat looking at the door waiting for Kuhu to comeback. He just could hear Kuhu yelling out to him from the kitchen asking him for his preferences for lunch. He could not bring himself to see anything apart from Kuhu – the flower decoration in the living room reminded him of her, the food menu put up in the kitchen, the fancy drapes in their room. The colors in his life were gone with her just like that.)

(A few days later, Kunal found the papers where Meenakshi Rajvansh had signed stating Kunal and Abir were both the legal heirs to the property after Meenakshi Rajvansh’s lifetime. He was confused finding these papers, just then he found another pen drive in the file – it was a video footage of his moth..., Meenakshi Rajvansh blackmailing Kuhu that she would disown Kunal publicly and kick him out of the company. Kuhu stood petrified as Meenakshi Rajvansh thrust the legal paperwork in her hand. Kunal remembered the time how petrified Kuhu was to see him return from the office with legal papers in hand. He hated the guts of the woman who called herself a mother. She had put Kuhu through hell to get her so called Waaris. He had not seen through Meenakshi Rajvanshs’ true colors and Kunal would never forgive himself for that.)

(Kunal grew quieter at the dinner table. Abir was beginning to see something was wrong. Kuhu was gone for 3 months now. She was supposed to be gone for a month for her event management work. Mishti was beginning to worry as Kunal was not his former self and Kuhu was not very active on social media. Kunal was curled into an unbreakable shell. Mami and Mama had given up trying to find out what was wrong with Kunal? Meenakshi was worried as Kunal never responded to her. He spoke to Parul, Abir and Mishti. Kunal would just speak to the imaginary Kuhu in his head as he went about his day. Whenever possible, he would play quietly with Mihir if the little child was awake. His curls reminded him of Kuhu.)

(His work at the company was done. He had signed over everything to Abir and packed his bags to leave handing over a letter explaining everything to Abir and Mishti. He was going out in search of his Kuhu, far away from this house – he was only Kunal. He had repaid everything to the WOMAN. He was now just Kunal free from every debt he had earned through this life. He picked up his bags and left without looking back. Because this time, he was going to build a life for himself and Kuhu. He was going to win her back. )
PS. Constructive criticism is welcome. I wanted to write something on KuhuNal/Kunal & Kuhu. So here is a small take. Not Proofread.
