Although many of us are glad that these rooted issues are still present in the show (not whitewashed or brushed under the rug)...this is rather a poignant point of discussion in terms of our society's mindset.

What do you all think?

My two cents...

Right now, it seems like it's too early to comment a proper concrete decision as to why many RV members are upset with mishbir staying away; since the story is yet to unfold and like us (as audience) the RV family seem to also be unaware of the whole dire situation that mishbir have encountered and endured over the last 3 months.

Hence, it is valid for Meenu to ponder as to what has suddenly become such a big issue that Abir decided to leave the house, family and stay alone with Mishti? This would certainly just add fuel to her already (unnecessarily blown up "sab mishti ki wajse") misconstrued opinion. And unfortunately it fits perfectly into what she has been repeating over and over again (and Mishti's prime insecurtiy) that "Mishti sirf ghar thodna janti hai"💔

As for Kuhu who has dug further in her jealousy/insecurity rabbit hole, all that I can say for now is that the character still has room for potential redemption (provided proper writing). She is still letting herself be blinded by her illogical hatred, unnecessarily blaming Mishti and trying to cover up her feelings by bringing others down. Kuhu has mountains to conquer before being the sister, the wife, the DIL and the human she can be.

(looking forward to how they deal with this character and the sister bond during such a serious, emotional track for mishti)

In conc; I guess I would have to choose answer 3 and 4 from the poll, as the most appropriate as of now.

It's a combination of women (even those who are supposed to be your own family) pulling another woman down. Plus, the consistent plotline of Mishti as the easiest scapegoat for blaming, in any situation (especially in regards to Abir).

i will go with 4...

i know even RJV family dont know what happened in these 3 months with mishbir or esply mishti but for everyone its easy to blame her...

the character mishti comes from where her parents abandoned her, her daadi family left her and adopted by her tai ji parents, even if her adopted parents sopport mishti endlessly they have to under go some issues with others and they have taken back seat too... so its easy to blame, demrean, taunt and do everything with her...

but abir is mishti's husband who gave her fair chance without being judged by any thing, so abir being with her is not digestable to anyone as he love her with her flaws endlessly...

First of all I didn't like the way this question was asked , it gives the impression that abir isn't getting the brunt of leaving the house abruptly before marriage but now he gets it all cuz mishti is with her , that's isn't the whole truth

Thoda rewind karenge toh we would notice that the family gets equally upset for abir not being around even before he was in a relationship with mishti , theg just didn't appreciate how he chose the option of leaving them behind, needless to say that it becomes last option for abir too and most of the times its just to get a breather from the tense atmosphere of the house, Meenu wants to have her family as a close unit which can be monitored by her and hence she has always criticised his habit of leaving the house! Coming from a joint family myself , I can understand the urge to be together and to some extent I can understand meenu ( except for the things where she blindly blames mishti for and resorts to things which are beyond the levels of humanity )

So its not not about feminism or ladke / ladki ki shaadi here , it's more a personal issue to keep the family together

Now , the thing is leaving separately is fine , in a sad tone but they all agreed when mishbir before marriage ( during baba track ) had decided to live separately but the current situation is different

Mishbir are confusing family with their answers, meenu is smart to decode that just lockdown or NGO is not a reason, and we know its true, mishbir haven't declared that they left the house, it's just they aren't informing when they are coming back and the more room for confusion is helping others to make theories to blame mishti

See even kunal is not living with the family at the moment, but the family is very clear on him and so is kunal hence no questions asked and no blame games but big ben knows that neend mein bhi hoshiyar beta is really hiding something 😆

I remember what parul maasi once said to kunal , that a husband acts as a balancing bridge between the family and the wife, a little loss of balance and things can go haywire, and that is what exactly is happening with abir... he is losing the balance which in future would bring mishti in trouble too !

Now the thing is does mishbir really wish to live separately, the answer is no Always a no from mishti's side since she knows abir won't be able to live that way even if he says so, they are not living separately out of will, they are doing it cuz they have a person reason for so.

If there was proper atmosphere, then things would have been different, but here the mess of confusions is so high that no one is sure what's going on and when you don't know that, you start calling out ones whom you don't get along with , for meenu and kuhu its mishti ...

So not selecting any option , cuz any option dosent fit my answer 😆

Wow guruji i was about to write something similar and you bet me to it.... i totally agree with what you said the first thing that came to my mind after seeing the question was first episode where abir was taunted for his banjara attitude by meenu.. that has always been a concern between them... even if not mishti meenu will feel insecure about something or other whenever abir stays away or has a dispute with her...

even during baba track she feared of baba separating abir from them not mish, she is only scared of the emotional distance mishti or anyone for the sake might create and she wont be able to control abir n her control over the family will break...

but now she is more scared for the reason only like you said the reason for kunal staying away is well known and also before too when abir stays away she knew the reasons n abir was open about it but now she n family is unaware of the reason exact for "ngo work" they are seriously confusing the family with lot of loop holes with lot of assumptions, thats why its more of the fear of what might be the reason and i tell you it wont be long before she gets a wiff of the matter n starts digging.... and also maybe abir is staying away in fear of this only, so that meenu mainly doesnt get an idea about this... but what to do he has to face everything soon....

For BB - She always had the fear that Abir would go away and never come back - she says that many times. When Abir went away before though, he was off having his adventure, not settling down and creating his own family - there was no chance of that. If he wanted family, he would have to come back. Now with Mishti in the picture, chances are higher he may not feel that way.That's why she always wanted to choose her bahus. She probably wanted someone who would feel closer to the family than Abir. Even though Mishti wants to be with the family, it is for Abir's sake. She also knows Mishti has no reason to trust her. To me it seemed that when she thought again about "yeh ladki ghar jodna nahi jaanti" she was thinking more in terms of Mishti not making much effort to repair maa-beta relationship.

Also, she is as quick as Abir. She knew from Abir's behavior before that he was very ready to live apart. She knows when someone is lying to her, and Abir is too distracted by Mishti to make up a reasonable excuse for why they won't go back even after lockdown has ended. So she says they had decided 3 months before not to stay with the family. Smart BB. Love the portrayal of longing, with that dash of they have to come back because they want to. She was trying to prepare herself for rejection, saw that ray of hope and got excited and then when Abir said he wasn't coming back and cut her off, the heartbreak! If I was in her place, I would think too that this was just an excuse to stay away.

So I guess my answer is that possibility of nuclear family is more now that son is married, and so that's probably the reason for this reaction.

But I have an even more burning question that kept me up till midnight yesterday - how did Mishti get her peach nightgown in the hotel? 🤣

So true, but resort mein kharide toh obviously they won't have casuals. Biwi ko khush karne he liye exact nightgown kharida hoga. She must like it - there was another one in another color too right?!

@bold: I'm sure that is a big big reason in Abir's mind, knowing exactly how BB feels about Mishti and what all she has been trying with instigating the sisters agianst each other. He just knew going back to RV house in that crazy dire situation with the weak mental/eotional stage Mishti is in, will only cause further trouble for both of them.

That's why even with yesterday's episode, we saw how uncertain and worried he was for them returning to RV house, even though he too misses his family dearly
