Before putting my views I want to put a disclaimer that Abir is my all time favorite. I love him.

I feel Abir and Meenu are each other’s alter egos. Abir thinks he is not like his mom but he is so wrong. He thinks meenu is controlling but so is he. And he is not aware how manipulative he is. He tries not to be like meenu and in this tryst he creates more problems for his loved ones

For example, let’s take mishnal GD

He was aware from the beginning that he likes mishti, but he chose to be passive about this. Infact he manipulates kunal in numerous instances. His intentions are always good but so are meenu’s...Then during the courtship he couldn’t stay away from mishti and did all those grand gestures. In his confusion he let things too far. Finally he realized his mistake and was going to take action but meenu happened. And this blame game on mishti started. If he was more open about his thoughts and was upfront things would have been different.

Kuku wedding

again he kind of rushed things by manaoing maheshwari family for the alliance. He should have been a wingman to kunal and let kunal do the hard work. But he was in so much rush to make kuku happen. Had he taken a step back he may have realized meenu and kunal’s plans.

Nish-mish

he took so long to say the truth. He just didn’t realize how he is affecting all other relationships in the maheshwari family. This was the time he n kunal should have disclosed kunal’s birth truth to maheshwari family instead of talking Gol gol

Parul

Parul deserves the respect but abir put lot of pressure on kunal for this. And the way it came in front of the media was not necessary. This could have been done within family first. Parul never wanted this. And blindsiding the maheshwarifamily like this was very insensitive. In this he has again put mishti in a vulnerable position in the RV and Mah family.

I think with the culmination of this track abir will also realize that he is not much different than meenu. They both are manipulative and controlling. The degree and the moral compass differs ofcource.

I also feel in this mother son tashan, mishti, kunal, kuhu and Parul are collateral damages.

but i dont agree in kuku's marriage not all but only 1 thing... abir thought its BB's plan but it is both BB and kunal's plan... BB gave because of parul not because of abir...

when kunal ran out of the house naanu is so much worried about MAH that how they face this humilation and he experienced same with meenu so dont want MAH to under go that and said with parul that kunal is like his father so parul blacmailed BB she will truth to kunal if kunal wont marry kuhu after knowing kuhu attempted sucide for kunal and parul dont kuanl to be compared with his father... so meenu took kasam from kunal and made him married...

abir’s intentions are never malicious. But it was kunal and kuhu’s love story so he should have let them handle it. The way he manaoed the maheshwari family for the rishta.. when BP was asking kunal some tough questions, about answered them. Had he been an observer instead of a go getter, he would have realized this planning n plotting on time.

also, it’s not a bad thing that abir has these meenu qualities. He has to embrace his inner calling so he can channelize it better. Right now he does this manipulation half heartedly and thus his loved ones get the brunt. Meenu ko seedha karne ke liye abir has to ace this manipulation game.

after watching episode i got to know few things...

meenu ko kunal se pyaar hain but not more than her EGO, self respect and as abir said to mishti bas meenu sab kuch uski according se honi chahiye... so yes meenu when black mailed abir about the same issue in same manner but kunal did... but uski marzki ke khilaaf..

when meenu met kunal in temple she shown her love for him but when abir spoke to her it is not the love for kunal but its her self respect demeaned in public...

when meenu said i dont this to come out then why did u say this abir to break his relation with mishti... when mishti got to know she is quiet and didnt even said to abir as its sacrifice of parul-meenu but now meenu blaming mishti...

meenu want to say bad about mehul but abir couldnt take that much bad about his father so yes mehul still affects abir and i think a come back for mehul is needed or mishti should say everything to every one because she has lot more info of mehul than meenu...

meenu said i taken parul for insaniyaat but i never felt like that not because parul is servant but meenu manipulated parul in such a way that parul autometically takes blame of all meenu's wrong doings and meenu once take teach parul a lesson cried fakely infront of kunal and kunal gave left right to parul and meenu is happy about it and now when kunal respected parul meenu gone nuts...

abir asks meenu if me and kunal both are sons of this house then u and parul should be also same but meenu says i never asked her to do servant works but im sure the manipulation meenu done to make parul do this and i want to know when she didnt try to stop parul if she dont want it but her made sense to me that she is not meenakshi rajvansh... abir wanted parul's right, respect from all not meenu's social status... meenu can keep a distant relative or friend but she made her servant balika bakri in all kaand's...

meenu wants everything according to her and said i dont that man influence on my children but mishti protected ur children not u MEENU...

meenu even said still mishti's father influence is on mishti i mean mishti's father truth tag but meenu herself made mishti known mishti's father's truth infront of everyone of mishnal GD... she brought naman , meenu framed naman in killing her so that abinal go nuts and cancels GD with mishti but kunal knows the hurt of break up didnt do it... and someone pls explain me... mishti apne jaan pe khel ke meenu ko bachaya on mishnal GD cant meenu or kunal see that she is not like her father and kunal should be thankful to mishti that he saved her mother even the trap is planed by her...

meenu ko BM-BP ki parvarish par shaq nahi hain but naman ke blood se hain then it goes with abinal too... khoon tho mehul,meenu and parul ka hain but parvarish tho meenu, parul and naanu ka... so if u go by blood abinal and mishti stands same... in both case father is fraud and murderer... bas mishti ka ek aur extra tag that her left her for second marriage...

but alas... im waiting for meenu to bring mishku trurth out...i want know what truths she will bring out and how... i mean in social media, tv or infront of families...

I watched their confrontation again in hopes of understanding it better. I am still confused about a lot of it 😆... but I am certain about one thing now that editors have not kept all the dialogues in the scene to reduce the length of it and the end result is a jumbled up puzzle with missing pieces!

Meenu tells Abir that the world is going to laugh at us.

Then Abir consoles her saying that if that man left you then the mistake and loss is his, not yours. At that time they are standing quite close too.

Next moment Abir is standing in a different position/angle and further away and argues in frustration that he really doesn’t understand why they are discussing that man!

Meenu’s dialogues are edited in some parts, so Abir’s arguments look totally out of place and some of their conversation is not making sense here

Anyways, moving on... so Let’s dissect Abir’s arguments:

Just to protect her fake self respect, Meenu brought Parul to the house, but then kept her as a servant.

If she really thought that Parul brings her embarrassment then why did she even bring her to the house in the first place and let her stay for this long?

She considers Kunal as her son, then how can his mother bring her embarrassment?

Kunal is as much a son of this house as much as Abir, so his mother(Kunal’s mom Parul) deserves the same respect that she(Abir’s mom Meenu) gets.

Since Meenu is the one who started all this by bringing Parul to the house in the first place, Meenu has no choice but to accept this truth.

Ok, so in a nutshell, Abir’s point is that if the two brothers are equal sons of this house - Meenu herself has always established that (at least to others) - then their mothers should be treated equally too and since Meenu herself has started this by bringing Parul to this house, she has no choice but to accept it this way now.

Phew, while penning this down, I understood it myself too 😆😆

you too noticed that change in position... yaar thats i got confused n i too felt they cut some dialogues so only we couldnt understand the entire context of the confrontation....

@bold - wah wah Abir meenu both believe in equality but the context is different.... abir wants equality in respect, status n progressive.... and meenu wants equality in give n take, she raised kunal so expects something from parul in return... she can never be equal in abirs terms... 😆 she is trying to prove this by her precap nautanki drama 😆

Abir is manipulative but he needs to embrace it.......LOL he is the sole person who can influence Kunal, Kuhu and Mishti. But in his rush to do whatever he thinks is right at the moment or suitable for one person aka band aid theory....he loses sight of the bigger picture and how the right for one maybe wrong for the rest of them.

Now, we should all wait and watch how these 3 will become the collateral damages in the war between mother and son.

Mishti and Kunal are dumb tbh, aadha time confused rehte hain on what they should do and what is right. Thats when Abir baba prakat hote hain and advises them on what to do.And they happily follow too keeping aside their doubts.

Kuhu knws what is right but she struggles internally because she is not ready to face the consequences of the right way.

uff this gives alot of thoughts to me on abir character but what you said is right... abir is manipulative but with a good intentions... he doesnt think too deep but he is mostly confused on what is right for everyone n what is right for one person n in that haste had done alot of mistake which caused his loved ones problem...

he needs to accept this and also be a little more careful in handling family issues n mainly should led people lead their life the interference is little more from his side which spoils things i can say that...

Bang on this is where abir fails most of the time... be it mishkun gd were it was right for mishti but then he didnt think how kunal felt in that... same for kunal accepting mish as abirs love, bringing back baba suddenly,...

between the right n feelings of others bcoz of this right he neglects mostly the second one...

During mishnal gd, Abir wooed mishti by using khidchi, poems, etc which were all abir not kunal. He did all the work in the background and gave credit to kunal. Basically he didn’t allow mishti to know the real kunal. Maybe, if he would’nt have meddled mishti n kunal ki baat gordhana tak pahuchti hi nahi. He thought the pull he had towards mishti can be overcome. He thought he can let her go. He thought mishti would be good for kunal. But had he not meddled mishti n kunal would have realized long back that they are not compatible.

Even after the ngo fire incident when kunal tells mishti that let’s get engaged, mishti is not convinced but abir ( after the dream proposal) says yes to gordhana on behalf of mishti saying that naa bolneki koi wajah hi nahi hai...and bcoz he says so mish says yes to kunal

During nish- mish, abir keeps interrupting all the wedding functions from Roka,Sangeet, mehendi but doesn’t say the truth. Finally the truth is what brings mishti to him. Had he said the truth on roka baat mandap tak pahuchti hi nahi

he waits till the last moment to take action. This is what I meant. So everybody in the show saying mishti ki wajah se should ideally be saying Abir ki wajah se
