I love how Abir is shown to be just observant in these last two episodes. His wheels are spinning but he can't make concrete decision about what is happening in front of him. He KNOWS that Mishti isn't like this, but Kunal's words about love not being enough or not knowing someone enough is getting to him too. I know he will make the right decision but I'm glad it wasn't 100% I believe Mishti and screw everyone else because that's not realistic. People do make mistakes, and people do pretend to be someone else, and people do betray you. The audience knows Mishti is not one to do that but Abir doesn't, because after all, how long has he really known Mishti? The contemplation, the questioning, Abir trying to UNDERSTAND what's going on is being really well executed here. A lot of the times, we see very black and white reactions in these kind of situation, either you completely support someone or completely oppose them. It's a human feeling to question things, and use critical thinking skills to observe a scenario. The people who are doing this are 3 people Mishti feels the most connected to, Badima, Bade papa, and Abir. And that is all I need. Everyone else's attention is on Kuhu, as always. The irony of all of this is that everything Mishti said will not be taken seriously because of how it hurt Kuhu. Yeah it did hurt her, BUT WHERE DID MISHTI LIE THO??? Additionally, when the truth is revealed, Mishti's comments will be taken as something she didn't mean to protect the family. Those things NEEDED to be said and I'm sad it's not going to be impactful in any meaningful way.
Coming back to Abir, this guy has never disappointed me, not even for a little bit. He calls people (often his family) out on their bullshit, still protects his family, loves Mishti, respects their friendship and boundaries, is so positive. It's a breath of fresh air from those that make rash and impulsive decisions. Often times we see the female leads being painted as all great and holy but this time i see these qualities in the male lead. What I'm trying to say is I'm glad Mishti is allowed to make mistakes. She will definitely have to face the consequences (because only male leads never face consequences) but nevertheless, she's not making the perfect decisions all the time. I wouldn't have taken this route to show that Mishti can do a lot for Kuhu but given what we have seen from the creatives, even thy are allowed to make mistakes lmao. But what's more exciting is how these two will find their way back to each other!
