Promotions vs PR vs SNS marketing
Segments are aired every alternate day.
PR executives are employed by Star and the Production house too. From the look of it.RS is targeting regional channels like India TV, Aaj Tak etc which air segments of many itv shows. PH seems to like traditional approaches.
Online marketing is a duh. For Namesake some pics are merged and posted on SPs handles.. Promos are done on a joint venture basis by PH and channel, both contribute. Who is lagging behind in creating a single Promo is purely on them. Can't execs come to some conclusion. No team work at all. Utter failure by PR team. TV viewers get no clues at all.
SNS marketing
Post 2015 after OTT platforms are in place, itv actors fan following is taken into account. Again near to zero activity on this method. yeah, shaheer does contribute in some way or the other. Its dicey and high on negative publicity.
I remember Rithvik and Jannats pair was hyped by a certain channel, their BTS were reposted on IG. The younger lot below 20 particular Ashnoor, Reem,Jaanat Zubair , Sid Nigam love their handles. promos with special captions asking fans about their opinions are posted. Even senior stars like Shakti, Dhrasti had taken up a controversial show last year, their BTS, theme, story became famous online that fans saw the episodes mostly on VooT., a second season went on air too.
IB costars and their on screen family were all over SNS, Surbhi, Nakul, Shrenu. A huge hype was always present around the baaz characters
This is definitely a new method to promote shows. It also depends on off screen bonding or actors consent for SNS activities. YRHPK and SP are heading dead end in this aspect too. Nevertheless, Shaheer's fans are contributing to promotions.
In short, YRHPK is promoted only in a particular format of segments and ivs. Nothing else.
