At long last

Finally two things managed to happen in the snail pace of this show 😆

1) Finally Mishti managed to definitively break off the Rishta with Kunal. Phew 🙏. Lol

He reacted exactly as expected. Outraged that Mishti would DARE to dump HIM 🙄. I had to laugh when he childishly retorted that HE will dump her before she dumps him 🤣. Grow up, Mr so called CEO. Shaadi karne se pehle atleast try to reach a mental capacity beyond a petulant 10 year old.

The other hilarious reaction was Meenu madam in shock that Mishti dumped Kunal first 🤣

2) Finally Abir seems to find his voice in the precap again, sticking up for Mishti and denouncing Meenu and co ki mentality of wanting a slave for a bahu.

Meenu ka robot Munna picking a fight with his brother over this. Lol I would love for this to be a wedge issue but I doubt it will last beyond a scene.

Kunal has openly declared hatred for Mishti and doesn’t want to see her face again. lol so I suppose that will be the big conflict for AM to navigate now as their friendship continues in the backdrop of the families against each other.

The writers need to take a break from Kunal’s petulant drama and give Abir and Mishti some substance waale interactions. It’s long overdue. Bhaad mein gaya Nanko ka faltu drama :P

Yes.... finally finally rishta over !!! Kunal is such a kid .. seriously just like 8 year old doesn’t accept losing, this man can’t accept rejection ... I mean he is so damn afraid of failure that he was ready to go against his mom and proceed for rishta. And his mom.. what can I say about this woman . All the lines she said to Kunal had she said those before instead of stupid planning and plotting Kunal would never have gone ahead with this proposal.

Oh and I loved that Abir was not acting like typical dramatic person and standing between Kunal and mishti to stop Kunal but was rather trying to diffuse the situation and as we see he spoke in his home with his people without making a drama about it. Eagerly waiting for mishti and Abir to begin their journey now!

Finally the story is moving. They could have avoided all this drama if meenu had said these dialogues weeks before sparing us all.

Kunal is an entitled ass. Must say ritwick acted well. He looked like a petulant child. Wonder how he will be straightened out. Kuhu doesn’t seem the type to do it.

On a lighter note the makeup for the most of the actors is so heavy that i could see the lines in foundation. It was really hard to see past ‘bade papas’ pink lipstick!

Lol Meenu’s plotting backfiring on her big time was one of the few satisfying conclusions of this track. She put up such a big act, Kunal decided to keep the Rishta going cuz he thought it was his mom’s happiness 🤣. Meenu furiously trying to switch gears and suddenly openly declaring that Mishti is not right for him cuz she doesn’t listen to anyone. lol and then Kunal replying that he’s explained everything to Mishti and now she will blindly listen to him, and even take off the chashma 🙄. Lol this guy is beyond hope.

Mishti was mainly looking at Kunal with sorrow and pity. She genuinely PITIES his mentality more than anything. There is no emotion for him. She just pities how unfortunate his soch is and how blinded he is in his misconception of her. She did openly call out the fact that he wants a wife who blindly obeys him but she didn’t berate his MCP mentality. Rather she quite gently but firmly pointed that she was raised to think independently and make her own choices so it would be a disservice to her Bade Papa to go along with Kunal’s expectations of a wife.

Both Mishti and Abir handled the situation well without trying to create a tamasha. It was Kunal and Meenu that turned the whole thing into a fiasco.

I want Abir to stick to his guns and not jump into another random song/dance to make up with Kunal in a heartbeat. Enough of this giving in to Kunal’s tantrums.

Haha about the makeup 😂. I guess this makeup is still better than the amount of lipstick and foundation the 8 pm show leads have on 🙏😂

And I am trying to remember if I watched any other female lead in recent times who without Rona dhona or agitation and dramatic lines says things... no am not able to. Hope mishti’s characterization remains this way. She said with so much conviction that she and Kunal are incompatible.

Sonakshi Bose in KRPKAB was similar. She used to use words in a mellow tone but the words could sting. The dialogue Writers are the same and they deserve applause for the way the leads are interacting here . The way Rhea and Ritwik acted was just amazing as well. We could see her poise in the pain and his vulnerable state behind his ego just expressed through their eyes 👏

Every MCP is a coward and “vulnerable” despite the bravado they display. Doesn’t elicit sympathy from me, personally.

This isn’t the kind of vulnerability that deserves compassion IMO because it destroys more than just someone’s fragile ego. Can we so easily excuse every man out there who oppresses a woman simply because he’s “vulnerable” behind his ego?

Why are only women always expected to compassionately excuse all the abuse they are subjected to while the mysogynistic man is excused as a “vulnerable” and “nasamajh” baccha?
