I loved all the scenes you mentioned and the week overall. Frankly I enjoy this serial a lot. It has such a sweet, feel good factor to it. And after the horrendous 2 wife EK serial I had the misfortune of seeing , YRHPK feels divine to me. My tolerance for itv has gone notches up.

Why do some of them find Mishti bipolar? Does she know Abir painted her? Does she know Abir has her photos? Did she know Abir had her earring till 2 episodes back? Did Abir say or give any indications to her at all ? Then how is she to guess Abir's feelings, esp when she is on a supposed marital courtship with his brother! At least she is being true to this courtship thing. And that's just why she made that inference abt Kunal after the fire. He was standing right there and she was dazed. She sees Abir as her own and she does not need to make any judgements abt him. For her to realize it as love will take a while. Right now she has been forced to think of Kunal.

Again, i read some of the posts here but I don't get why ppl want Mishti to go thru heartache as well. Like did she take advantage of Abir or his emotions? As I see it, she sees Abir as a very dear friend whom she trusts immensely. He inspires her. And she in return is a very loving friend too. She tries to look out for him too. Don't we hv such friends in real life? It's unfair to blame her in any way at this stage atleast. She just needs time, but the way things are moving, she may not get it. Not her fault really.

As for Kunal, I like his character too. Let's not forget he ran into the fire too , which is not a easy thing to do. So he can't be denied any credit for saving Mishti.

Abir is of course a darling., the main reason for me watching the show. The most perfect male lead I hv seen till date. Mishbir pair is really nice.

Overall, the serial is sweet. Though ppl find Kunal-Mishti annoying, I feel the CVs have done a great job in trying to keep it as decent as possible. And C'mon, this is the basic premise of the show, so let the story unfold . U can't jump into Abir-Mishti..What's left in the story then? From what I hv seen of the CVs, I think they will keep it clean and not mess the pairings.so let's be a bit patient and see the character graphs.

Thats a great post. I will try and explain why I find Mishti bipolar though. Lets take Friday for instance. She actually risked her life to save a painting only because it is dear to Abhir. She only thought of calling badi maa and then Abhir when she was in trouble. She clearly noticed Abhir jumping in and even had a brief conversation with him before fainting. So I just find it very convenient on the writers part that they chose to make her remember Kunal the first thing after waking up. They din't even spare a second to make her glance at Abhir to make sure he is safe. I'd like to clarify that she is not bound to reciprocate Abhir's feelings and I don't hold that against her at this point. But I'd still maintain that the writers are showing zero introspection on her part and some of her reactions are extremely inconsistent just to accommodate this Kunal-Mishti track.

Regarding Kunal, honestly I was okay with him till last week. But him coaxing Abhir to do something sweet for Mishti and give him the credit was off. Even if we were to forget that, I don't think I can respect him as a character if he chooses to keep quite next week when he is given all the credit for Mishti. Kunal was a character who was very comfortable with taking credit for other's actions (refer to his monologue post the hospital scene when he is forced to take credit by Abhir). So I just find it weird that now he is okay with everything thats happening and taking credit for something as big as saving someone's life.

And in fact the other lines from the same song remind of the other highlight you ve pointed out.. Abir stepping out all alone from the fire and everyone is busy gushing over mishti’s state and thanking Kunal including mishti herself...

मुस्काता ये चेहरा, देता है जो पहरा

जाने छुपाता क्या दिल का समंदर

औरों को तो हरदम साया देता है

वो धुप में है खड़ा ख़ुद मगर

This show’s highlight could have been courtship if it was between Abir-mishti or/and Kunal-kuhu, but the highlight is abir’s character and Shaheer carrying the role with tremendous acting chops and sensitivity.

I don’t really care at this stage, if mishti does not realize that her relationship with Abir is beyond friendship and she could go to any extents for him but I want a plain and a very straightforward realization from her that Kunal and she are a big NO as life partners. I am getting impatient now with rishta formalizing. Next week is going to be tough ... we ll have to see heartbroken Abir who is totally in intense kind of love. He defined his love for mishti as a purpose of his life in the shayari. He is gone that far... there is no looking back from this feeling now. Kuhu’s situation will also be not good. Don’t know when would writers give us Abir and kuhu scene.

I agree that Kunal’s character has been inconsistent. He is supposed to be straightforward person but it’s turning out totally against his characterization that he has been asking Abir to do things and taking its credit.

Can I at least hope that mishti remembers Abir first when she gains consciousness back? She watched him fight fire to get to her, handed over his painting back. Can she reach out to Abir and ask about his well being and his precious painting? She she notice his wounds from the fire! I hope writers do a small mercies on us and Abir .

Haha I got reminded of that song too. Its a great song and totally suits Abhir and his love for Mishti. Esp these lines-

किसी शायर की ग़ज़ल

जो दे रूह को सुकून के पल

कोई मुझको यूँ मिला है

जैसे बंजारे को घर.

I don't know about the rest but I was personally most disappointed with the fact that Mishti only remembered Kunal after she woke up and the writers din't even bother to make her (or anyone from the family) turn back to check if Abhir is alright. I know Mishti is supposed to be practical and she is right now focused on making it work with Kunal but given the seriousness of the situation (where everyone's life was in danger), its really weird that she din't even spare a thought for Abhir. While Abhir is out there being a tragic hero not caring about his wounds and still worried about Mishti's well being. Some kinda balance is required here tbh 😆 I really hope they make her remember Abhir atleast on Monday and panic about his well being atleast as a friend. Itna toh banta hai 😆

P.S. Totally not looking forward to the engagement track and heart broken Abhir

Great post and good analysis! Even i loved those highlights from the week. And to add on the list my highlight was Nanu noticing the change in Abir, his concern for Mishti. It was very good to see at least someone in the house can see that.

Last week the show elevated its standard to whole new level and shahher has set the bar quite high for himself and others now. I rarely feel so much for the character. I feel like i can connect with Abir on a deeper level.

I started watching it (ofcourse Shaheer being the main reason) for light hearted cute love story with no ott lavish expensive costumes and their distracting jewelleries and remarriage and etc. But never expected the show to have sucha an effect on the audience. Like Abir’s dialogue ‘ye ghar jaisa, simple seedha lekhin bahut khoobsurat’ this show is exactly like that. Its a simple show, but very beautifully written.

Abir is undoubtly the best male lead in tv and i hope cvs dont ruin his character in the future. The way he handles mishti, makes you think that guys like him do exist in real world. People want to see badboys manhandling their female partners on tv but wpuld you like that youself in real life. He never talks rudely or raises voice except to BigBen. He is a perfect example of how male lead should be.

I just hope they don't ruin Abir's character for the sake of drama. I have seen so many characters go completely down the drain once we have invested completely in it :d :d I shudder to think if the same were to happen to Abir! Please CVs, no!!

May i add not overly possessive as of now. He is a decent human being. A gem really if you do start comparing shows. You know i started watching because of the courtship but i have happened to like Abir more too

My favourite out of the ones you mentioned is the 'Ghar jaisa...' moment. That was a beautiful way to describe what Abir feels for Mishti- it's not just fiery chemistry that makes your heart thud but it's also the comfort of feeling at peace when you are with someone. It combines the excitement of a cruise with the safety of an anchor.

Regarding KuKu, I have very little hope. 😒If this is how they're treated at the beginning of the story, then I don't think they will get much to work with. They have great chemistry and I also like their dynamic, but alas, they would rather focus more on Peenakshi and Badi Maa.

@shan2430- I think it's natural to find Mishti's character inconsistent. Nobody has an issue with her not realising Abir likes her because he has done nothing to give her that impression yet. When people call her bipolar, they are talking about how unaware she is of her own feelings. One minute she will jump into a fire to save Abir's painting only because she 'thinks' it is important to him and the next minute she is thanking Kunal for saving her. The words she herself uses to describe her friendship with Abir do not align with her actions.

Sure, MishBir and KuKu are endgame but that does not mean they have to inflict future BIL-SIL Kunal-Mishti on us. 🤪The journey matters more than the destination. At least for me, I cannot enjoy a couple together if they butcher their characters along the way or create weird misunderstandings between them.

yes it will gross out fans if they do go through with official engagement and personally to them as well. Which is why i think engagement wont happen (hopeful lunatic I am)

or maybe it may happen as parent YRKKH , Akshara was engaged first now that i remember and it was called off but that was totally different circumstances

Yes thats an important one. Altho he really likes her, he has never refused Kunal when he wanted his help to impress Mishti. That shows how big his heart is. We all need Abir in our life❤️

Yeah I get your point and also of @clarity. But I see it this way- she knows Abir is her own subconsciously and expects him to be there for her, but for Kunal to go in and help is a big thing for her. May be for that and to push story forward with kunal-mishti, the dialog was added. I don't look at it as a big let down yet. Lets see if she remembers Abir in the coming episodes after fire. I hope she does. She should. I just feel Mishti needs time to process. She herself hasn't understood how she risked her life for just Abir's painting. Before she pauses to analyse, Kunal is again going to be thrust on her. This is my take on her:)))

I agree abt Kunal taking credit for flowers etc...it gives a wrong impression. But it's consistent with his character. Thats the way he is with all. But thankfully they haven't shown Mishti getting overly impressed or carried away by this. Unless I hv missed some episodes. Though they need to push for Kunal-Mishti due to story line right now, I still feel the makers hv kept it as decent as possible. No OTT closeness, dreams etc e.. so I am ok with whatever is shown till now. No complaints.

Like I said, the last serial I followed was so damn pathetic that I can take anything now. ,:)) 😊
