I have been wanting to gush about certain moments last week but eventually thanks to an annoying Kunal/Mishti/Badi maa scene, it skips my mind and am back to cribbing 😆 Now in retrospect, I can ignore the annoying aspects and list the three moments which really stood out for me last week.

1. When Mishti asks Abhir to describe his painting, she asks him how pretty it is. Chand jitni, phool jitni? And he simply says- 'Ghar jaisa, simple sa sidha sa lekin bahut khoosurat'.

That line really stayed with me. Its not something people would usually use to describe a painting of the love of their life. It wasn't really some intense shayari either with otherwordly adjectives about how his love is as beautiful as the sun and moon. Just a few simple words which convey Abhir's feelings in a jist. Abhir's heart was only looking for a home he could call his own and banjara ko finally apna ghar mil hi gaya ❤️

2. When Abhir returns Mishti's earrings to her, he says 'Tumari amanat peeche reh gayi thi. Aaj sab kuch lauta raha hoon'

I absolutely loved the way Shaheer said it. He was literally trying to let go and that slight break in his voice and lone tear in his eyes made that line so poignant and special ❤️

3. My third favorite scene wasn't really an interaction or a line. It was more of a moment from yesterday which stood out amidst the high voltage drama and confession. When Kunal walks out with Mishti, everyone is focused on them . Mishti's family was fussing on Mishti and thanking Kunal, Mishti herself was busy comparing her dad with Kunal and Meenu was fretting over her ruined plans. Noone really spared a thought for the guy who actually risked his life to save Mishti. When Abhir walks in holding that painting in one hand and Mishti's dupatta in the other, the reality dawns on him. That subtle change in his expression as he walks out was the most heart-breaking moment of the week for me.

I have a list of complaints about the ongoing track. I have a feeling its going to get worse when the engagement gets announced and Abhir's heart breaks a little more but for now, I really wanted to list out the three moments from last week which stood out for me. Amidst bipolar Mishti, credit chor Kunal, insensitive Meenu, shrieking badi maa and a lot of incoherent writing, the brightest spot of this show is clearly Abhir. He is quite the tragic hero who indulges everyone at his own expense. Your heart really breaks for him and you literally want to shake Mishti out of her ignorance. Am not sure if am invested in the love story as of now but am definitely invested in Abhir as a character. He indulges his siblings even when he is annoyed or depressed, he never looks to take credit for his actions, he never snaps and doesn't shout even at his servant and is so gentle with Mishti. There is not a tinge of lust in his actions. Just love and admiration. Quite the anti-thesis of the usual male leads on ITV. At this point, he is the only reason am watching this show. I know its a daily soap but am still desperately hoping they give a logical conclusion to this annoying cross connection. Abhir-Mishti have so much potential as a pair. So do Kunal-Kuhu. Don't ruin it in your quest for drama CVs. Please spare us of Kunal-Mishti-Badi maa and give us a proper story 🤪

Such a great post . I never gave so much thought to the scenes you have mentioned especially the ghar jaise khoobsurat one . It had such a deep meaning when Abir used it to describe the portrait . The cross connection is overshadowing the other scenes in the show 🙁

Abir is such a intense character and Shaheer is nailing it . I have high regards for the male leads who respect women and Abir is one of them . He reminds me of Dev Dixit in many ways . I don’t like tragic heros unfortunately they turned Abir into one .

Abir will be the only reason for me to give this show a chance . Apart from Abir the other character I like is Kuhu who seems to be much more mature than what I thought . I liked her from the first episode but become my other fav character after the way she dealt Kunal’s rejection.

Beautifully written. :)

Abir is clearly one of the best male leads on ITV right now - no yelling, no mandhandling, no huge ego - so gentle, so normal - oh I can go on and on!!!:d

I just hope they don't ruin Abir's character for the sake of drama. I have seen so many characters go completely down the drain once we have invested completely in it :d :d I shudder to think if the same were to happen to Abir! Please CVs, no!!

Haha even I couldn't focus on the nice dialogues because they were overshadowed by the annoying cross connection track. There were some fantastic scenes last week and its such a bad idea to mix it up with Kunal-Mishti because it puts people off the show. esp. because its boring and not even logical and the writers are twisting everyone's character and reactions just to prolong this silly track.

Abhir is more intense and tragic than Dev in a way 😆 He is an artist and poet so he is more expressive and emotional and unlike Dev, he has a happy go lucky facade, so noone really notices the depth of his emotions. I already know next week is going to be depressing 😆

The CVs are already ruining Kunal (making him unabashedly steal his bhai's credit) and Mishti (bipolar and one dimensional with no introspection) to prolong this track. Meenu and badi maa have been annoying from the first episode. I can only hope they end this track soon without more collateral damage.

Yessssss!!! Being around his brother and Mishti does bring out the bad side. Why aren't the CVS focusing more on KuKu - both were such a joy to watch .

Kunal and Kuhu actually have good chemistry. Kunal is not bland and boring in Kuhu's presence and Kuhu's crush on Kunal is extremely endearing. Also Kaveri has good screen presence and has improved on the acting front. And Kuhu as a character is more consistent than Kunal, Mishti and Meenu at this point. I really hope the writers give Kunal-Kuhu enough screen time and stop ruining all the characters to mindlessly prolong this stupid track.

I loved all the scenes you mentioned and the week overall. Frankly I enjoy this serial a lot. It has such a sweet, feel good factor to it. And after the horrendous 2 wife EK serial I had the misfortune of seeing , YRHPK feels divine to me. My tolerance for itv has gone notches up.

Why do some of them find Mishti bipolar? Does she know Abir painted her? Does she know Abir has her photos? Did she know Abir had her earring till 2 episodes back? Did Abir say or give any indications to her at all ? Then how is she to guess Abir's feelings, esp when she is on a supposed marital courtship with his brother! At least she is being true to this courtship thing. And that's just why she made that inference abt Kunal after the fire. He was standing right there and she was dazed. She sees Abir as her own and she does not need to make any judgements abt him. For her to realize it as love will take a while. Right now she has been forced to think of Kunal.

Again, i read some of the posts here but I don't get why ppl want Mishti to go thru heartache as well. Like did she take advantage of Abir or his emotions? As I see it, she sees Abir as a very dear friend whom she trusts immensely. He inspires her. And she in return is a very loving friend too. She tries to look out for him too. Don't we hv such friends in real life? It's unfair to blame her in any way at this stage atleast. She just needs time, but the way things are moving, she may not get it. Not her fault really.

As for Kunal, I like his character too. Let's not forget he ran into the fire too , which is not a easy thing to do. So he can't be denied any credit for saving Mishti.

Abir is of course a darling., the main reason for me watching the show. The most perfect male lead I hv seen till date. Mishbir pair is really nice.

Overall, the serial is sweet. Though ppl find Kunal-Mishti annoying, I feel the CVs have done a great job in trying to keep it as decent as possible. And C'mon, this is the basic premise of the show, so let the story unfold . U can't jump into Abir-Mishti..What's left in the story then? From what I hv seen of the CVs, I think they will keep it clean and not mess the pairings.so let's be a bit patient and see the character graphs.

Loved this post! The moments you have highlighted were so beautiful. The ghar-jaisa comparison by Abir for mishti reminded me of a song from ek villain ..

And in fact the other lines from the same song remind of the other highlight you ve pointed out.. Abir stepping out all alone from the fire and everyone is busy gushing over mishti’s state and thanking Kunal including mishti herself...

मुस्काता ये चेहरा, देता है जो पहरा

जाने छुपाता क्या दिल का समंदर

औरों को तो हरदम साया देता है

वो धुप में है खड़ा ख़ुद मगर

This show’s highlight could have been courtship if it was between Abir-mishti or/and Kunal-kuhu, but the highlight is abir’s character and Shaheer carrying the role with tremendous acting chops and sensitivity.

I don’t really care at this stage, if mishti does not realize that her relationship with Abir is beyond friendship and she could go to any extents for him but I want a plain and a very straightforward realization from her that Kunal and she are a big NO as life partners. I am getting impatient now with rishta formalizing. Next week is going to be tough ... we ll have to see heartbroken Abir who is totally in intense kind of love. He defined his love for mishti as a purpose of his life in the shayari. He is gone that far... there is no looking back from this feeling now. Kuhu’s situation will also be not good. Don’t know when would writers give us Abir and kuhu scene.

I agree that Kunal’s character has been inconsistent. He is supposed to be straightforward person but it’s turning out totally against his characterization that he has been asking Abir to do things and taking its credit.

Can I at least hope that mishti remembers Abir first when she gains consciousness back? She watched him fight fire to get to her, handed over his painting back. Can she reach out to Abir and ask about his well being and his precious painting? She she notice his wounds from the fire! I hope writers do a small mercies on us and Abir .

Thanks a lot for your detailed analysis on Mishtis thoughts . I totally agree with your sentiments. I also had the misfortune of trying to watch the EK serial and gave up after a while. After watching that I feel like this show is like an Oscar winning serial other than Meenu who I cannot understand at all.

I think Mishti is surely going to take a lot more time given how practical and analytical she is. Added to that we need to also understand that she is an adopted child in a sense who also has abandonment issues. So she is going to put her adoptive family and their needs paramount.

Abir ofcourse is my fave character and he seems to be just getting more endearing as he is falling in love ..
