@bold: Likewise! I will even confess to peaking into the IB forum ever now and then 😉About the show, I totally agree. The ease of Mishti and Abir is the USP so far, and I love that he already knows her deep, dark secret. But it's also why my cautionary message to the creators is, don't confuse the audience, and get whoever needs to be married, married ASAP. The super romantic promos have made it amply clear who ends up with who and I don't see people having too much patience for Kunal and Misth, but what do I know? 🥱 Haha yes, there is always that "danger" if you will...the intrepid shippers who will ship anyone and everything😆...yahaan bhi rishta ho gaya toh automatically Kunal-Mishti shippers na aa jaayein😕😆...Another thing I like about the show is how the two couples (yes, I will go ahead and call them that) mirror each other. Kuhu echoes Abir for Kunal, when her words about moving on from past heartbreak seem to get through to him, and Misthi echoes Kunal, when she extracts that promise for Abir to stay. Similarly, I think it's interesting that Abir and Kuhu are the respective siblings in the know about their love interests, while Mishti and Kunal seem to just get pushed around by family and circumstances. They could have a really cute complementary thing if this is done right. Word! I absolutely agree...Kuhu is a female version of Abir in many ways except for her mean spirited and petulant tantrums😆...also the fact that she does want to get married while Abir doesn't😆...but other than that, both Kuhu and Mishti bring the much needed opposing point of views to Kunal and Abir respectively...Kuhu made Kunal lighten up and Mishti grounds Abir so yes, if evolved well, both couples can have a good arc.The troll in me finds the parallels between Abir and Kuhu particularly interesting because of the absolute opposite reactions they have elicted from the audience. I'll go ahead and confess that I've found Kuhu quite fun, right from day one, and I think her hashtags are basically her version of Abir's shayari. Despite being coddled, Misthi and Kunal seem to have a much stronger sense of who they are. Kuhu and Abir are both rebelling without being totally sure of what they are rebelling against or what they want the endgame to be. I am excited about all the possibilities these dynamics present. Haha I wouldn't go so far as to say I find Kuhu FUN😆 but I absolutely agree on the amusing parallels between her and Abir that bring out opposing reactions. Both are rebelling against things but Kuhu is harder to sympathize with because she obviously has a loving family that pampers her while in Abir's case, his equation with his mom defines his rebellion and need to escape. Kuhu craves the attention...Abir doesn't...that's the difference.I do like how the writers have evolved Kuhu a bit better in the last few epis...humanizing her better by showing her regret her mean barbs but at the same time being totally unable to rise above everything.Frankly what's VERY unusual for Indian TV is the equation b/w Kuhu and Mishti...this is honestly the very first time I'm seeing two sisters (even foster sisters...lol) who neither hate each other nor sappily love each other enough to constantly hug/kiss each other...lol those are usually the only two ends of the spectrum available on desi TV...but here these two are somewhere in the middle. This was especially apparent in the scene when Mishti came back from the hospital and they both apologized to each other...that was genuine apology, not just for show...but the moment the family asked them to HUG each other, they both made a face and only hugged each other for the sake of the family😆...so it's not the case of one mahaan sister constantly suffering at the hands of the mean, selfish sister...lol Mishti cares for Kuhu but she doesn't force any love or feelings she doesn't feel...she only obliges for the sake of the family.
