Dev Dixit was too stiff. I'd actually avoid someone like him in the very first go.

Abir's flaws are meagre compared to Dev Dixit. Although I believe that flaws make a character humane, Dev's character in the initial episodes made me dislike him. However later on, the layers of his character did get dug up and it was kind of good to see that. I believe Abir Rajvansh is one of those characters that one will hardly or even never find in real life. He is complex but so easy going that everyone will want him.

That being said, I don't want to further compare Dev vs Abir.

Abir is the present and that's what matters.
