I initially liked the scenes between Maira and Armaan as I found them cute but now I cannot connect with them at all due to the constant victim playing of Armaan. The man literally stole his own child and didn’t bother to have the decency to inform it’s mother than she is alive and safe. It’s hard to see one parent happy in his own world while the other one is suffering constantly for no fault of theirs.
I didn’t like their initial scenes — they felt forced from the get-go, and Armaan’s arrogance just rubbed me the wrong way. Now, I won’t say Abhira was completely faultless. From the start of the baby track, she was clearly obsessed with having a child. Sure, every couple has that desire, but wasn’t it her decision initially to wait a few years before starting a family? Then suddenly she conceived BSP, and later, when she and Armaan were just starting a new life — already dealing with financial issues — she jumped straight into IVF, loan and all, like there was no time left.
It’s not like Abhira was running against a biological clock. And Armaan did try to voice that including Ruhi in this plan felt wrong. But let’s be honest — Armaan was no less obsessed. Once the baby entered the picture, both of them forgot everything else: emotional stability, financial readiness, and even the well-being of the child they were so desperate to have.
Then came the loss of Armaan’s mother and brother, and his protectiveness turned into full-blown possessiveness — over both the baby and Abhira. That’s where Abhira, as a wife and partner, should’ve stepped in and made him see he needed help. Instead, she was busy telling Ruhi to control her emotions, her feelings, her hormones — while she was literally carrying their child.
By the time the baby was born, it was already too late. Abhira had endured too much — the emotional abuse, being made to feel less for not being able to carry a baby, constantly being pushed aside in favor of Armaan’s family. She forgave everything, even the moment he put Pookie’s life at risk. And now? She doesn’t matter to him anymore — because he has what he really wanted all along: his own blood.
