Abhinav had the decency to understand that it is about Abhir's life and not petty jealousy. That's why he even put up with bin bulaye mehman in his sister's shaadi who was after his wife. Thaali dono haath se bachti hai and Abhinav had the maturity to stay away from the nibba-nibbi nautanki. This gen has, on the contrary has oldies who can't even sort out their own shit, let alone their kids' lives.

That worked because Abhimanyu didn't punish those who wronged him, he asked Akshara to come back to him once and when she declined, he never did anything, he stayed away

Even when the chudail jumped on him to hug him, he put his hand on the wall and didn't hug her back in the hospital

Abhinav asked Abhimanyu to perform operation on Abhir and begged him to save his own son, and as soon as Abhimanyu did it, Abhinav got insecure, Abhimanyu saw it and left. A father couldn't stay with his son after performing a life threatening surgery because Abhinav baby would cry

Abhinav was a manipulative man who formed bond with him doing drama of goodness, keeping the truth of Abhimanyu's son from him.

The whole arc was depended on Abhimanyu taking a step back to let Abhinav have everything because all that dude did was cry and play victim card

So, no, it wasn't handled well because neither Abhimanyu nor Abhinav were able to express their real feelings, it was one sided where Abhimanyu lost everything

abhimanyu akshara and abhinav were the 3 main characters of gen 3.. Akshara was the heroine and manyu and Nav were the loves of her life..so they had to be positive…because the whole show revolved around them…here these other triangles are all side characters..except abhira, Armaan and Ruhi…but Ruhi was the vamp ..who’s now reformed..and has become a side character 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ruhi turned out to be smarter than her ghatiya gira hua Poppy. She moved on with Rohit and I don't think she has used her child yet to trap a married man. That might be the only decent thing that has happened with her. Unlike the trash Abheemanyu Birla, who used his own son's health as an execuse to harass a married woman. Honestly, this gen is a mess. But last gen had its moments too with a man like trashy abuser Abheemanyu who did not understand no means no. Only difference is that he ended up alone like the roadside trash he was without anyone near him, not even the mother who obsessed over his happiness. That's what is missing this gen. No one gets punished for their wrongs. Not Vidya, not Kaveri and no one else. So why would the audience be interested in the show, when the evil gets away with everything. Unlike last gen, where perpetrators like Manjari and Abheemanyu ended up getting rejected and all alone time and again. That's the justice missing this gen.

Only reason the triangle didn’t became toxic or even exist was because of Abhinav’s forgiving nature. As AK hated trash, and if Abhinav reciprocated that, there was no place for trash in the story.
