He was truly apologetic. Him realising that she was crying because it was related to him & then pouring out all his feelings, because he really wanted her to know that he was wrong and on multiple instances. He accepted everything he did (and didn't do), while still making sure she understood that they were where they were mainly because of his transgressions. He genuinely wanted her to move on from him with a clean slate, so that she never could have doubts that jo bhi ho raha tha, usme Abhira ki kya galti thi - which was why her reaction to the move on bit was priceless

That was a cue picked up from sm itself..And dialogue mein they added it's not emotional blackmail

Yes although apology aside, I like he stressed and said he has been guilty for a while.. and boy did the manipulator let his eyes speak today in the first few seconds before saying sorry!
