We all knew Abhimaan were officially married and their marriage was fake or invalid both legally and religiously. It was just a spoken agreement that they won’t consider each other husband and wife but they were married.
I feel that deal marriage only came because actors changed. Like they can’t use the 1st marriage as flashbacks for future as it was a different actor. For leads it’s important to have marriage flashbacks when separation and remarriage happens 
As for Ruhi and Rohit, I don’t think they need their flashbacks. Else for that couple both changed
