Abhir - beyond the white and black !

I am not a regular viewer of the show. Thought of giving it a watch after Abhir's entry which in a way has infused freshness in the show.

I have seen comments where people see Abhir's actions either from Abhira's pov or from Ruhee's but very rarely from his own pov.

Abhir doesn't know the Poddars or Ruhee or Abhira tbh. He was away all these years (God knows where coz writers didn't even bother providing this info). He got back only to find out that his mom is no more, he has a sister, MG never bothered finding him and his mom never bothered telling Abhira about his existence. Trauma, past baggage & unanswered questions is all he has.

He didn't want to be back or to have any relationship with anyone but Abhira brought him to Goenka house. Her intentions were in the right place even if her way was not.

It's not easy for him to form an instant deep bond with Abhira coz he might be his half sister but they have just met. But he does melt for her which is pretty evident.

Coming to Ruhee, in his mind, Ruhee is his Ruhi Chuhi, they were siblings and best friends. That's how he remembers & knows her. Ruhee also has that connect with him. So, even when the two detest each other, they can't negate their old bond which is very human. Abhir doesn't know the Ruhee of the present.

So, when she called him and cried for help, Abhir was bound to melt..plus her telling him that her family threw her out is what triggered him as his own mom was thrown out of the house! This made him more emphatic towards Ruhee!

He anyway doesn't have a great impression of Armaan & the Poddars. Vidya telling Ruhee to not be a part of the pooja would have annoyed any one coz it's just a regressive thought and Abhir got more agitated by this.

Since he is so impulsive and angry, this is how he channeled his anger! By telling the truth in the most upfront manner (vo peeth peeche Che kaam nahi karta) ..it was insensitive for sure, he should have thought about Abhira but he was consumed by anger to this extent that he blurted out the truth in this harsh manner.

I actually am finding his character pretty interesting. He is human and flawed. He acts and reacts. I am looking forward to see how his bond with Abhira will grow over time & of course his love story with Charu...I even enjoyed his & Ruhee's scenes.

I am not sure how much the writer will explore but they have created an interesting character so hoping they will use Abhir & Mohit's full potential.

Any sane person when he'll know about baby being swapped would reveal the truth

Completely agreed. Abhir has been the voice of reason from hating MG for abandoning his mama and him to returning the baby to his mother. I don't care if he supports or opposes Abhira as long as he does what's the right thing to do.

Nobody is saying Abhir is wrong in revealing the truth. But the way he did it was absolutely wrong. Even if he don't know Abhira well, he has still seen her doting on her child. The least he could do was not make a mockery out of a mother’s love and a sister's trust. To me, it looked like he was almost celebrating crushing Abhira's hope and happiness.

I guess that's how his character is written. Angry and impulsive, who does everything upfront. This is a way for the writers to create more drama. For instance, instead of an emotional and personal Abhir - Abhira moment where she asks about where he was and is empathetic to his pain, writers chose to show Abhira emotionally blackmailing Abhir to come to Goenka house coz they wanted drama.

Similarly, ideal scenario would have been if Abhir had spoken to Abhira in person first but then the drama wouldn't have been there.

Writers I guess prefer drama over anything else coz that's what brings ratings.

Abhir's reaction as of now is in sync with his character.

Well being angry and impulsive are not great traits. So it is right call that out. This is an Itv show, obviously makers will want drama. And people will react based on what is shown, not on character analysis.

Who said they are great traits? For me that's what makes his character interesting and not unidimensional. Informing about the baby was the right decision, the way could have been better which is what I have pretty clearly mentioned in my post.

And obviously people react on what is shown and what was shown is pretty much in sync with his character. Just like mixing up babies without informing either of the mothers isn't a great trait. All the characters have behaved based on circumstances in sync with their characters.
