Highlighted, that is very clear. But why can't writers decide on the backstory before they start talking about it.

Apni convenience ke according kahi bhi koi bhi dialogue laga dete hai.

And jaha tak I have understood, madhav was given a choice either to choose Shivani and leave family or stay with family and marry Vidya.

So according to that, he abandoned Shivani and armaan maybe even when Shivani was pregnant and married Vidya.

Because during Rumaal wedding kaveri manipulated armaan showing him the things he was holding the cloths he was wearing when he came to poddar house.

That shows Shivani didn't died in childbirth, armaan had to be atleast 12-15 months old.

Kaveri wanted armaan to do the same as madhav, but he eventually decided to choose abhira over kaveri and left ruhi on altar.

Armaan listens to everything because he does not know a single thing about his birth mother, hasn't even seen her photo till date. He has not asked his father any one detail about his mom or their relationship because he has been suppressed under a mountain of gratitude, guilt and ehsaan to always go by what Kaveri and Vidya say. To him, Vidya is his mother not Shivani and that is so messed up, what the Poddars have reduced him to.

Vidya never utter Shivani name to anyone, Vidya said she's used to Madhav disappearing and even on their wedding night he also disappear for days. Family are used to it that why when he disappear and was hospitalized the house weren't worry cause that's a habit of Madhav. Vidya find out that Madhav was in Shivani ghar until she when there and neighbor told her. Vidya advice Abhira that she allow pain and ego to ruin her marriage fighting a ghost, but it's not whose your first love but last.

It is sad how he has been treated and still is being treated by his own family. But honestly after he became an adult it was Armaan’s responsibility to take stands for himself, to make things better for himself, a man who is in his mid thirties and still feels like he doesn’t have an individuality of his own. That’s just wrong.

Jitin galati Kaveri and Poddar ki hai usse zada Armaan ki hai for never saying or doing anything about it.

To me, Shivani was not said but implied. in my understanding Madhav was still with Shivani. He was not as moral as he asks Armaan to be. And it’s good he had done mistakes, he saved abhimaan from repeating the same mistakes.

And the way Madhav past is handled, I think in future they can re enter Shivani because she definitely didn’t die in child birth.

Honestly speaking Abhira should not be getting married to Armaan. The Poddars are super regressive and will eventually ruin Abhira's career. Abhi shaadi bhi nahi hui and baby ke naam ka shuru kar diya hai.....Even Armaan,didn't he see Abhira's face when any ody talks of baby...... They are over whelming her and sooner or later she will snap....
