Chapter 2 Challenge
Armaan was sitting in his room with lights off and curtains shut.He had created a huge blunder…First he divorced his wife and now he had fallen for her and now she was extremely angry at him….He had created this situation and problem all by himself.He should not have signed those papers when they were bought by Abhira….He is older than her, hence more mature, he should have understood better and fought off this divorce which he will do now……And on top of that he had broke her heart…..What the hell was he thinking? This had been his very problem since childhood….All he thought about was his family….He never thought about himself….Never for once when he was married did he think about what he feels for Abhira……He never introspected on why he feels what he feels……He took a huge breath…..This mess is going to get forever to get clean……
Vidya and Madhav entered Armaan’s room….Vidya looked at Armaan’s room…He had been in this condition since the time they had came back from Goenka Villa….Vidya opened the curtains and urged the staff to bring breakfast up for Armaan….Vidya and Madhav glanced at each other…. They had never been proper parents to either of those boys…..But now they needed to step up and be parents to both Armaan and Abhira….They needed them….Armaan in his mistake and love for family signed those papers…..And Abhira…Vidya took a huge breath….She should have guided Abhira better…..Abhira was young and alone…. Andobviously had not thought about getting married this early…..Abhira was new to this dimension but she didn’t do the job of being a good mother to Abhira either……
Madhav (taking a huge breath)-Armaan aage kuch socha hai beta……
Armaan (explaining)-Abhira wapas aa gayi hai.Krish told me….I have to talk to her…
Vidya (hesitatingly)-Tujhe lagta hai who tujhse baat karegi….Bahut zyada naraz hai who tujhse Armaan…..Aur upar se tere aur Ruhi ki shaadi ki baat bhi pata hai use……Bechari bacchi ka dil toot raha tha aur hummese kisi ko andaza bhi nahi tha…..
Madhav (smiling)-Armaan mai use bahut acche se jaanta hu beta….Jaise hi tu use divorce papers wali baat batyega she will ask for another set of divorce papers…..Kuch socha hai uss bare mai…..
Armaan (announcing)-I am not going to divorce her…..Agar use chahiye toh she will fight me in court…..
Vidya (thinking)-Ye karna sahi hoga ?
Armaan (chuckling)-Ma bahut ziddi hai who….Mai use bahut acche se jaanta hu….Is ke alawa koi aur tareeka nai hai…..
Vidya (asking)-Agar itni acche se jaanta aur samajhta hai toh Charu ke mamle mai galti kaise ho gai beta…….(explaining)-Aksharaji ne tujhe zimmedari di thi kyuki who tujh par bharosa karti thi Armaan.Hume pata bhi nai hai, yaha se jaane ke baad kiss halat mai rahi hai who…..Tujhe samjhna chahiye tha…..Kabhi kabhi parivaar sab kuch nai hota beta…..Apna rishta bhi sab kuch hota hai……Ma sa bhi kabhi galat ho sakti hai…..Tujhe Ruhi se shaadi keliye ha nahi kehni chahiye thi beta….
Armaan (sadly)-Har galti ka prayashit karne ko tayaar humai…..Par iss baar aise hi jaane nai dooga use…..
When Armaan was talking to his parents he received a message.He was shocked to see such a huge amount transfer into his account…. He saw the extension….Abhira Sharma……How on earth did she arrange such a amount…He tried to open her account but she had changed her password…. Damm it….A sudden light struck Armaan and he called Kipling Uncle from Mussorie…..Kipling Uncle informed him that Abhira had sold the Mussorie resort……..He asked if Akshara had before hand decided something but Kipling denied stating that Abhira had made a very good deal but Akshara had not pre decided anything……Armaan took huge breath and pinched the bridge of his nose….
Vidya (with concern)-Kya huva Armaan ? Itna pareshaan kyu hai ?
Armaan (angrily)-Abhira ne aapna Mussorie ka ghar aur resort dono beech diya hai….
Madhav (stunned)-What ? Par kyu ? Kahi Aksharaji ne toh koi deal….
Armaan (angrily)-Nai….Mam ne nai ki thi…..Aur upar se mere account mai paise bhi deposit kiye hai…..(taking his clothes)-Mai abhi use milne jar raha hu…..
Armaan drove towards Abhira’s hostel and college.Krish had already told him her room number….Armaan had warned the Chorus Gang to not warn Abhira.Vidya and Madhav had pleaded him to talk calmly…..He was not angry that Abhira sold her resort but he was angry about the money….How dare she ? Hedidn’t take care of her for money…..He didn’t marry her for money or he never asked the money in return…..Akshara Mam saved his life….He owed his entire life to her….He would never……He went towards her room but the warden told him that since it was Saturday,Abhira would be in library or classes…..But thankfully the masters classes were cancelled for the day…..So he went straight for the library……He saw Abhira taking out some books from the library by standing on the staircase….
Armaan (murmuring)-Zameen par gravity agree nai karti……Sidhyo pai khadi hai kahi gir gayi toh…..!!
Armaan went and stood next to her.Abhira who was busy thought that Armaan was her friend Rhea and hence she handed her couple of books…Armaan kept holding them…..He smiled looking at them…..She was looking gorgeous…..Was it just now that he was realizing that he had a gorgeous wife…her smile was such that it can bring a dead man back to life………Finally Rhea called Abhira from other side and Abhira glanced down and saw Armaan standing down…..She took the books from him and handed to Rhea…..She slowly got down from the stair….Armaan offered her a hand….
Abhira (angrily)-Maine sahara lena band kar diya hai……Maine aapne aap manage kar sakti hu……
Abhira led Armaan out on the campus…She didn’t want any of her friends to see her arguments with her ex….Rhea,Abhira’s friend noticed Armaan and decided to speak with him.Abhira had hid things for far too long and she could have been in danger at that time.And that person was still roaming free.Rhea decided to wait till Abhira was here….She would talk after that…
Abhira (sarcastically)-Yaha kaise mujhe toh laga tha ki shaadi mai busy hoge Mr Poddar……
Armaan (showing the bank message)-Ye kya hai ABhira ?Ghar kyu becha ?
Abhira (angrily)-That is my personal business.Hamara divorce ho chukka hai…..Aur maine pehle hi kaha tha that I would repay all the money to you…..
Armaan (chuckling)-2 cheeze. Ghar kyu beccha and Second hamara divorce nai hua hai………Su technically you are still my wife……
Abhira (stunned)-Maine aur tumne un papers par sign kiya tha……That what happened ?
Armaan (smiling widely)-Technicality……..
Abhira (angrily)-Ohh toh aab samjhi….divorce process nai hua toh shaadi kaise hogi…..Dadi sa ne bheja hai…..Divorce papers ke saath firse……..Lao do sign kar dogi……
Armaan (angrily)-Abhira koi divorce nai hone wala hai.I made a mistake ke last time maine sign kiya tha…..Forget about Dadi sa…..Is baar sirf tum aur mei hai…..I am not going to divorce you…..
Abhira (angrily)-Toh phir mujhe tum majboor kar rahe ho court jaane ke liye……
Armaan (smirking)-Fine go…..Just you know agar tum Abhira Sharma ho toh mai bhi Armaan Poddar hu…..ye divorce nai hoga matlab nai hoga…….
Abhira (sarcastically)-Mujhe lagta hai tumhe na sar pechot lagi hai…..Isliye bhool gaye ho that tumhari shaadi Ruhi se hone wali hai…..Mujhse nai…..
Armaan (angrily)-Mai ab bhi tumhara pati hu Abhira…..Meri kisi aur ke saath koi shaadi nai hone wali……
Abhira (angrily)-Fine have it that way Mr Armaan Poddar….I will see you in court….
Abhira went away in anger.How dare he stop the divorce,she would make sure that the divorce happens.He broke her heart,didn’t trust her enough….and now doesn’t want divorce.What is wrong with him.Rhea watched as Abhira stormed off than decided to approach Armaan.She had to tell him everything about what had almost happened and how Abhira had almost fell in danger…Rhea knew that Abhira’s brother-in-law Krish knew everything but he was still a child and Mr Poddar was not only a lawyer but her husband as well…….
Rhea (calling him out)-Mr Poddar.Ek minute rukiye…..
Armaan (trying to recocnize)-Aap Abhira ki dost hai right?
Rhea (nodding)-Yes actually aap ko kuch batana tha.Abhira wont tell you anything……
Armaan (seriously)-What happened ?
Rhea described that how after divorce Abhira had decided to not move to hostel and get a flat,she mentioned about that landlord who was basically a stalker and how he had almost made his move on Abhira but couple offriends from college and a colleague from Abhira’s work place rescued her and beat up that man.Armaan was so angry…..Abhira knew how dangerous things could be,for god’s sake she was not a child……She should have contacted him…..He took the address and details of that man from Rhea and thanked her and all the friends profusely for helping Abhira out……Armaan was angrily driving the car…and than suddenly thought……Wasn’t he in the wrong,wasn’t it his job to protect her……He parked the car in the Poddar house and sat there for couple of minutes……He decided to take his father’s help……But first Krish…..
Armaan (calling him out)- Krish Krish !! Charu !! Kiara!! sab ke sab neeche aao…..
Kaveri,Vidya,Manisha and Madhav along with Kajal camedownstairs…..
Vidya (calming him down)-Baat kya hai Armaan ? pehele shaant ho ja beta!!
Armaan (angrily)-Aap teeno ko neeche bulaye…..
Krish (innocently)-Kya huva bhai ?
Armaan (angrily)-Kya huva hai ? Ye aab tum log mujhe batao ge ? Did you know about that landlord ?
Charu (hesitatingly)-Bhai who ….
Armaan (yelling)-JAWAB DO !!
Krish (nodding)-Ha pata tha humen….
Armaan (angrily)-Mujhe kyu nai bataya ? Sabse pehele mujhe batana chahiye tha….
Madhav (calming him down)-Kya huva beta…? Batao…
Armaan explained the entire situation to everybody.All were very much worried……Kajal too got angry on Krish…..Kaveri got worried for Abhira but tried not to show it…….Madhav took the address and name of that landlordand reported it to his police station…..Armaan was extremely angry and Krish,Charu and Kiara were very scared for the first time…..
Krish (getting angry)-Aap hum par kyu gussa ho rahe hai ?Aap nai the bhabhi ke liye…..Aapki galti hai…..Woh gussa hum pa mat nikaliye….
Kajal (chiding him)-Ye kya tareeka hai Krish bhai se baat karneka…..Maafi maang…..
Charu (angrily)-Galat kya keh rahe hai…..Bhabhi ke halat humne dekhi thi…..Sambhalna khud ko mushkil tha especially aapki shaadi wali baat ke baad…….Armaan bhai you should have been there……(looking at Kaveri)-Par sabko toh Ruhi bhabhi bahut pyaari jo lagti hai…….Aapko kya lagta hai its so easy out there for women……Kaise soch liya ke bhabhi akele kar payegi………Sign kyu kiya un papers par…..
Armaan (angry at himself)-I know Charu mai nai tha…..I know I am the reason that she is out there and I will be the reason she will be in here back…..Woh divorce notice bheji gei aur iss baar mai sign nai krne wala…..She wants to fight than she can fight……..Armaan Poddar iss baar divorce nai hon edega……Who iss ghar mai wapas aayegi and if (looking at Kaveri)-Kisi ko aitraaz hai than hum dono outhouse mai reh lege……..But she is coming back……..

Armaan and Abhira have to stay together for 11 months…….
And the Chorus gang trio is right: Armaan so easily let Abhira go and is now being angry at everyone else instead of doing some soul-searching & taking responsibility for the mess he created arnd himself.
