Isse pehle ki generations ke saare FLs, MLs and baaki characters bhi khaate peete ghar ke lagte te..I still don’t get how the casting department went so wrong the first time round in this generation..I think it was all about budgets..like they say, if you pay peanuts you’ll get only monkeys ..although I personally think monkeys are cute and smart and hence not the right comparison lol ..anyway good they’ve brought in the changes ..Armaan doesn’t look sautela anymore, which he actually isn’t …and Ruhi looks like the spoilt Goenka princess that she is supposed to be !

I think the contrast between Armaan’s equation with Abhira and that with Ruhi lies in the fact that the first is heartfelt and the second is actually the zimmedari. His two day tryst with Ruhi saw him besotted by her looks and the person he thought her to be, which was all very upar upar se. He thought she’d be an ideal fit for the family since that was the first dialogue of hers that got him hooked. With Abhira, she is everything he is not supposed to fall for technically in terms of being muhfat and chaotic, but he has established a connect that goes beyond the superficial. We have never seen him share a heartfelt smile or a laugh with Ruhi. These are all cues that give us an insight into how far these two have travelled. There are bound to be pitfalls in the road ahead but I think they’ll find their way to each other sooner than later!

I don't think it matters either way, but as per the story I believe Ruhi is atleast 7 years older to Abhira (Ruhi was 6 when she was first introduced plus with 1 year for Abhira's conception+birth = 7 yr gap).

And since Abhira is 22 currently, that puts Ruhi at 29 most likely.

Having said that, I don't think age is the issue here, it is misplaced priorities and lack of boundaries. Either way, it will be interesting to see how Armaan reacts to Ruhi presenting him with insta divorce papers in the upcoming track from the promo.
