Madhav failed to take stand for his love and acceptance from mother. Here basically its not love marriage so its not like Armaan fell in love with garib girl and wanted to marry going against family. Still Dadi Phupha tried to convince him for annulment which he firmly denied. Plus their shadi news went viral and again Dadi was concerned for "image". That's what Manoj too mentioned to Madhav that Armaan isn't as weak as Madhav. I think, one major reason Madhav becomes happy to see Abhira winning over Dadi sa is his past where he couldn't do the same for his wife which he sees now Abhira doing ( some credit to Armaan too for silently supporting her at times which probably Madhav did't do for his love, he basically seem to give up).

Also, because I haven't watched the older episodes properly -

How Vidya got married to Madhav? Armaan's mother got married to Madhav, did she live in Poddar House? And then she died and after her death - Dadi sa got him married to Vidya? Because ek sath dono se shadi toh nhi ki hogi?

Just curious, what went wrong with Vinu dada? I am not watching season 2, the siblings had a good bond in the first season.. they don't get along now?
