It's disappointing because Gen 1 and 2 had more progressive tracks. The previous generations had stronger female leads who had a moral compass.

Correction this show is currently in 2060 not 2023 so they have no excuse to show any of the regressive crap that they’re currently showing like being a vidwa etc unless the future is apparently more regressive than the 1800s smiley22

Very valid points.

Every attempt to victimize her character makes the show worse. The same happened with the previous leap. She makes life-altering decisions for everyone then runs away while everyone is left picking up the pieces. She feels no guilt or remorse and continues to play the victim even when no one confronts her about her actions lol. No character arc or development then it's onto the next random track or husband depending the maker's mood lol.

Honestly, the most disappointing part about the leap is how the female lead was turned into a prop to uplift the cameo. I still can't believe the makers ruined her motherhood for a cameo they were planning to kill off. ITV leaps are for the female lead to shine, a cute bond with her child, and the male lead's redemption. Here, the makers didn't even bother to establish a bond with her child. She is verbally abusive to both father and son so some fans don't want a reunion. Also, the male lead being emotionally tormented by all the characters for months isn't a story or angst.

The show desperately needs a revamp, but looks like we're stuck with the social messages.

So you're basically saying that this show is all about how many different kinds of marriages Ak can have to keep giving social message through each type of marriage and how it begins/ends?smiley36

They have literally gotten her divorced and widowed only to victimize hersmiley36....cuz they haven't managed to convey any effective social message through either situation she was in. When she got divorced, she hopped on a bus and married the first guy who helped/handed over her kid to himsmiley36. What message was there to give in that when for 6 years, she basically lied to everyone about her kid's paternity? smiley36 What stigma did she ever face as a divorcee? smiley36.....She was never a single woman for long enough to give any social message on how a woman can live for herself. She hung her entire existence on propping up another man instead smiley36

Now she's become a widow and suddenly wants to preach about the strength of a single mom/single woman whose life didn't end after losing a man and now she wants to live for her family and kidsmiley36

But hey, what to do....makers have decided she's the only messenger they want for whatever half-baked social issues they need from time to time to fill the epis.

I still don't mind though...her social messages are tolerable now as long as she doesn't have that bland +1 she's been toting around since 8 months smiley36
