Since you are talking about Identity crisis, I'm watching Barsatein and the protagonist has recently learned that she is adopted. They are showing it so well.

There's a dialogue where she says " me apna haq samajh k daddy se zid karti Rahi par wo toh mujhpar meherbaani kar rahe the" sums up how most people end up feeling.

Even Neil had his own issues.

It will make you cry almost every other episode...it is beautiful writing...it's best most sensitively handled show I have watched till date..

Guys adding a few thoughts here as not feeling like creating another thread:

1. Abhir didn't reject AbhiM: Abhir was not aware of his true parentage. When he got to know by then he has been fed lies that Abhinav is his father, he has been dependent on Nav so much more than his mother.(i am not saying that's right or wrong) but rejecting means if for example Ruhi and Shivu choose someone else over AbhiM or Parth. Not applicable in Abhir's case. Both was victim of not knowing the truth. That's false narrative set in against Abhi my personal opinion.

Adding to it- AbhiM wasn't angry or disregarding anyone's feelings. He knew Abhir is pitying him and he didn't want that. He even said that to Akshara that he didn't want chand pal ki khushi. Let him grieve in peace which she couldn't cause well we know

2. Why AbhiM is not asking about Ruhi in jail?

Because Ruhi k foster is alive. Because Ruhi always knew the truth that her father is no more. All she did not know is who was with her and father and what happened to him- I strongly believe they should tell her and let her decide her feelings for her Masi too.

It's natural he is asking more about Akshara and Abhir cause he knows Nav meant so much for them. Infact except Muskan others are overdoing it. They weren't even close but let me give them a pass cause death.

3. Facts- only AbhiM cared enough to patch Ruhi and Abhir. The bond they have is AbhiM's maturity. Other 3 have left it as it is. Both mothers were like choose one. And now when AbhiM isn't here let's see how they mend this relationship or it will fall further apart.

After leap Abhi has always thought about kids more than anyone else. His concern right now is Abhir because he knows Abhinav was closest for Abhir. I don't see anything wrong in him concerned about his own kid. While Ruhi has Aarohi and others. And Abhinav's death doesn't directly impact her.

Roohi reminded me so much of Neil today. The way she took stand for her Poppy. She knows her Poppy in and out, and that he can't do this. She is her father's daughter indeed. 💕💕💕
