Thank you for the tag, Ira! 🤗

And yes, Jasper is one of my favourite characters in Twilight. There was a stark difference in his character and it’s importance between the books and the movies. He was so underutilized in the latter!

It was refreshing to see Akshara as an innocent and sweet girl like how she started out in S3.

You write so well. Beautifully articulated, it’s so easy for me to imagine the environment and vibe. Keep writing!

And I can’t wait for the next chapters! ❤️

Chapter 2:

Charlie:

Charlie let out a low, guttural groan as he slowly rolled out of bed and made his way towards the window to check the time. The daylight streaming through the thin curtains told him it was already morning. Although it had been only a few hours since he'd managed to get some rest, his sleep had been disturbed by Bella's persistent, haunting nightmares. Tossing and turning in her sleep, she'd let out small whimpers, pleas for help that Charlie had no power to grant her. To make matters worse, this had not been a one time occurrence - these fits of dread had become a nightly and unyielding routine, one that left both father and daughter feeling helpless and drained.

As he shuffled towards the kitchen, trying to shake off his grogginess and the sickly worry in his heart, Charlie realized that he couldn't remember the last time he'd slept an uninterrupted night. Every dreamless moment of slumber seemed to come with the cost of witnessing his little girl suffer, trying to claw her way out of the icy grip of her fears. It was heart-wrenching, and more than once Charlie had yearned for the Cullens to return, as ridiculous and impossible as that wish was. With a heavy sigh, he wearily picked up the phone and hit auto-dial.

He was going to have to call the police station to inform them that he wouldn't be in the office today - not with the dark circles under his eyes, and the impatience that seemed to pull every muscle in his frame. He needed to be there, to make sure that Bella was okay. He knew that Beau, his older son had decided to stay at the reservation last night as the quileute story telling ceremony had gone longer than usual. He unconsciously sigh as at least one of his children had dealt with the breakup. But first things first - he had to whip up something for breakfast. As he went through the motions of cooking an omelette and some toast, Charlie's mind wandered back to the past few months. He wondered how Edward was faring, if he even cared a whit about how much he's hurt this girl who loved him more than life itself. Brooding on these thoughts never brought him any satisfaction, but it gave him a small spot to focus his anger instead of turning it all inwards.

Charlie finishes his breakfast and puts the plate in the sink to deal with later. As he turns around, his phone rings, interrupting the morning quiet in the house. He picks it up and sees an old friend's name flashing on the screen. He clears his throat and answers.

"Hey, Mark, it's Charlie."

"Charlie, great to hear from you. How you holding up?"

"Eh, can't complain. Just dealing with some stuff."

"Listen, I actually wanted to ask you for a favor. Someone contacted me about purchasing my old house up in Forks. Do you think you could do a background check before they proceed?"

Charlie nods absently, already lost in thought. At his friend's prompt, he remembers to say, "Uh, sure thing. Just give me the details of the family."

Mark describes the family, the Goenkas from India, Udaipur, consisting of parents, grandparents, an uncle, and four adult children, including two young girls who are Bella's age.

Charlie jots down the information and tells Mark he'll look into it. After hanging up, he gets to work on the background check, typing out the name in his search engine with a thousand questions in his head. He begins to research the family, starting with social media, the usual first step in any investigations. He's scrolling through their pictures when Bella's scream shatters the peace of the house. Charlie's heart jumps, and he rushes towards her room, his mind racing with horror scenarios.

Thankfully, when he reaches her bedside, she's just turning over, stirring restlessly. Charlie breathes a sigh of relief before returning to his laptop to continue his research. It's not hard to piece together the family's history. They run a diamond-merchant business in India, and from all accounts, they seem to be hardworking and decent people. Charlie nods, his mind finally at ease. He types out a report detailing his findings and sends it to his friend, then calls the agents in charge of the sale, assuring them that the Goenkas are legitimate and would be a welcome addition to Forks.

Feeling satisfied, he returns to the kitchen to deal with the mess and pick up Bella's breakfast from the oven and take it to her room. Just as he's about to head back to her room, the phone rings again.

"Hello?"

"Charlie, it's me again. Mark. Just wanted to thank you for doing the check, let me know what the verdict is."

"It's all good," Charlie replies. "The family seems legit, and I've passed on the info to the agents."

"Fantastic, thank you so much for your help."

"Anytime, Mark. Take care." Charlie hangs up and takes a deep breath. For once, things seem to be going smoothly, and he takes a moment to savor the fleeting sense of relief. But as he listens to Bella's restless breathing, he knows that the real struggle has just begun.

With Bella:

Charlie gently shook Bella's shoulder, trying to rouse her. "Bella, it's time to wake up, sweetheart," he said softly. Bella stirred slightly, but her movements were sluggish, and her eyes remained closed. Charlie watched her closely, his heart heavy with worry. His little girl looked so pale and lifeless, with dark circles under her eyes. It was as if her very spirit had been dampened, snuffed out by the relentless nights of nightmares that plagued her.

As Bella sat up slowly and gave her father a weak smile, Charlie couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. His daughter was a shadow of her former self, and it broke his heart to see her this way. He carried her breakfast over to her bed and set it down on the nightstand. "I made you an omelet and some toast," he said gently, hoping to coax at least some response out of her.

Bella picked at her breakfast damply, pushing the food around her plate without much interest. Charlie tried to think of something to talk about, anything to bring back the spark in her eyes, but his efforts were fruitless. "How's school going, Bella? Have you made any new friends?" he asked, attempting to make some small talk.

Bella's response was lackluster. "It's fine, Dad. Nothing much happening," she muttered. Charlie's heart sank. He knew that Bella used to have a passion for learning, that she loved soaking up new information, but now, she seemed to have no interest in anything at all.

Charlie searched for something else to talk about, something to bridge the gap that seemed to be widening between them. "Oh, by the way, there's a new family moving to Forks," he said, grasping onto the first topic that came to mind.

Bella perked up a bit at this news. "Really? Are the Cullens coming back?" she asked hopefully, her voice tinged with excitement.

Charlie's heart clenched at the mention of the Cullens. He had never approved of Bella's relationship with Edward, but that didn't mean he didn't care about his daughter's happiness. "No, not the Cullens. It's a different family. The Goenkas from India. They have two girls around your age, and they'll be starting school soon," he said, hoping to dispel any trace of disappointment in Bella's face.

Bella nodded absently, her attention already drifting away. "Oh, okay. That's nice, I guess," she muttered, clearly disinterested.

Charlie couldn't escape the crushing sense of helplessness and sadness that seemed to accompany Bella's every move. He watched her carefully as she feigned the need to work, barely touching the untouched breakfast in front of her. He knew that she was searching for something, anything, that would help her make sense of the mess that her life had become. He imagined her huddled over her laptop, scrolling through old messages, emails, and social media accounts of the Cullens. She was searching for even the slightest shred of evidence that they still cared about her, that their love had not been a fleeting, fickle thing. But as time passed, and her messages remained unanswered, the silence that greeted her only seemed to grow more deafening, the rejection more personal. Charlie knew that he couldn't fix things for her, that he couldn't take away the pain or the heartache. But he resolved to be there for her, to do everything in his power to ease the burden that weighed so heavily on her young shoulders.

Bella sighed as Charlie left the room, hoping she could distract him enough that he wouldn't notice the despair that weighed on her shoulders. She knew that he was only trying to help, but she couldn't help feeling like he'd never fully understand what she was going through.

After a few minutes, Bella opened her laptop, desperate for any sign of life from the Cullens. She scrolled through her messages one by one, hoping and praying for some kind of response. But the silence only grew more deafening, and her heart sank as she scrolled through her empty inbox. She took a deep breath and tried to push the disappointment aside. Maybe they were just busy, she thought. Or maybe something was wrong, and that's why they hadn't responded.

There had to be an explanation, some reason why the people she once called her family had disappeared from her life without so much as a goodbye. But as the hours passed and no response came, Bella couldn't help but feel the weight of her loneliness bear down on her. She knew that she was being selfish, that the Cullens had their own lives and their own problems to deal with.

But she couldn't help feeling like they'd abandoned her, left her to deal with her pain and heartbreak all on her own. She was so used to having Edward by her side, to feeling his warm embrace when she needed it the most. But now he was gone, and all Bella had left were the memories of the love they once shared.

Bella felt her heart ache as she realized she couldn't keep this up. The pain was inescapable, and she felt like she had no one to turn to. She glanced longingly out of her window, watching as the sun began to set and the world around her grew still. It was just her and her thoughts, trapped in the silence that was punctuated only by the sound of her own breathing.

With a trembling hand, Bella picked up her phone and dialed Alice's number, her heart racing with the hope that maybe, just maybe, she would pick up. But the line rang and rang, and Bella was left with nothing but the hollow sound of silence on the other end. She tried not to let it get to her, but the tears came anyway, streaming down her face in tiny rivulets.

She felt so alone, so lost without Edward, without Alice, without her family. She couldn't help but feel like everything had been taken from her, like she was swimming in a sea of grief that threatened to swallow her whole. She needed someone to talk to, someone to help her see a way out of the darkness. And in that moment, all she wanted was for Alice to pick up the phone and tell her everything was going to be okay.

But the silence on the other end just grew more deafening, and Bella was left feeling more alone than ever. She felt like a broken person, shattered into a million pieces that no one could put back together. And with that realization, she knew that she had to find a way to keep going, even in her darkest moments, but she couldn't...not without edward.

Chapter 3:

Akshara woke up early on her first day at Forks High School. The excitement of experiencing a new school and meeting new people kept her from getting a good night's sleep, but she tried her best to hide it and put on a brave face. She looked at herself in the mirror, adjusted her hair and outfit, and made sure everything was perfect. She was wearing a blue pair of jeans, mixed with a full-sleeved black V-top that had multi-coloured large leaf patterns on it. To give it an extra touch of flair, she put on a floor-length black net shrug that was adorned with colourful leaf patterns.

Image

It was a perfect blend of Indian and Western styles, giving her a unique look that was sure to turn heads.

Akshara walked down the stairs to find her family gathered around the dining table, enjoying a traditional Indian breakfast of puri, aloo subzi, and chai. Her great grandmother, Mimi, sat at the head of the table, looking regal as ever. Her grandparents, Bade Papa and Bade Mumma, sat next to each other, sipping their tea and chatting. Her grand uncle, AG, was telling them a funny story, causing everyone to laugh. Her sister, aarohi was still getting ready.

Akshara took a sip of her chai and opened her phone to check the message. She smiled as she read her older brother Kairav's message, wishing her and Aarohi good luck on their first day at the new school. Akshara could sense Kairav's worry through his message, which wasn't surprising given his nature. Kairav was 8 years older, he always acted like an overprotective older brother for as long as she could remember and at times like a father to her and aarohi, and Akshara appreciated it. But this time, his worry was amplified since they were in a new town and starting at a new school. Vansh, on the other hand, had been excited about the move from the beginning, and but had offered to tag along with kairav in case he needed help with the work.

Last night, during their video call, Kairav had given them plenty of advice on dealing with new classmates and making friends. "Just be yourselves and don't be afraid to put yourselves out there," he had said with a reassuring smile. "Also, remember to stay safe and look out for each other."

Vansh had chimed in. "And don't forget to have fun! Make sure you check out all the cool spots in town and report back to me. I'll need some inspiration for my next blog post," he had said, flashing a cheeky grin. Akshara smiled at their conversations last night and took another sip of her chai, as she looked up from her phone, Aarohi walked into the dining room.

She greeted everyone with a cheerful "Good morning!" as she took her seat at the table. Her outfit perfectly complemented her vibrant personality - a full-sleeved blue blouse tucked into a pair of white jeans, with her long hair cascading down her shoulders.

With everyone now gathered, Bade Papa turned to Akshara and Aarohi, a twinkle of excitement in his eyes. "Are you both excited for your first day at Forks High School?" he asked, eagerly awaiting their response.

Akshara's face lit up, and she nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, Bade Papa! I can't wait to meet new people and experience everything the school has to offer."

Aarohi, on the other hand, couldn't hide her nerves completely. She replied, "I'm a little nervous, but I'm confident that it will be great. I know I'll adjust quickly."

Bade Mumma, always the pillar of support, smiled reassuringly at Aarohi. "Don't worry, beta. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to Akshu. She's been through similar experiences, studying abroad for the past few years."

The mention of Akshu's overseas education caused a slight shift in the room's atmosphere, remembering the actual reason for Akshara going abroad but nobody mentioned it. Akshara had spent the past three years studying in the UK, while Aarohi remained in India with the rest of the family. The unspoken tension between the sisters was palpable, but carefully concealed from everyone else.

Aarohi, not wanting to rely on Akshara's help or highlight any sense of inadequacy, retorted, "I don't need anyone's help, Mumma. I can handle myself just fine." Her words hung in the air, causing a momentary pause in the conversation.

Akshara's smile dropped slightly as she felt the sting of Aarohi's rejection. But determined to keep the peace and regain some semblance of harmony, she quickly changed the subject. "Hey, speaking of school, have you guys heard about all the extracurricular activities they offer? There's a drama club, a music club, and even a photography club!" Akshara's eyes sparkled with excitement as she tried to redirect the attention away from any potential conflict.

AG, catching on to Akshara's attempt, joined in, his face lighting up with genuine curiosity. "That sounds amazing! Aarohi, if I remember correctly you were really interested in joining the photography club. Maybe you can join that. It will be a great opportunity."

As the conversation shifted towards their shared enthusiasm for the upcoming possibilities at Forks High School, the frostiness in their relationship lingered but remained unnoticed by the rest of the family. They continued to discuss the school, the different clubs, and the potential friends they might make, expressing their hopes and dreams for the future.

After breakfast, the family dispersed to go about their own tasks for the day. Mimi had a doctor's appointment, so she left with Bade Mumma, their faces etched with concern and anticipation. Bade Papa and AG headed out to discuss their business ventures, leaving Akshara and Aarohi alone to prepare for their first day at Forks High School.

Aarohi anxiously went out to the car, ready to start their journey. She started tapping her fingers on the steering wheel, waiting for Akshara to join her. Meanwhile, Akshara rushed back to her room to grab her music player and earphones. As she hurried down the stairs, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. She straightened her clothes and took a deep breath, preparing herself mentally for what lay ahead.

Finally, Akshara hopped into the car and Aarohi started the engine. The ride to the school was filled with a comfortable silence, each sister deep in her own thoughts.

Akshara gazed out of the window, taking in the scenic beauty of Forks, Washington. The lush green trees and misty mountains charmed her, as if welcoming her to a new chapter in her life. As they reached the school, the grandeur of Forks High School greeted them. The building stood tall and sturdy, surrounded by sprawling grounds and towering trees. Akshara and Aarohi parked the car and got out, their footsteps echoing in the quiet morning air.

They approached the front entrance with a mix of excitement and nerves in their hearts. Walking into the front office, they were met by Mrs. Cope, the friendly school receptionist. She had a warm smile on her face as she greeted them. "Good morning, you must be Akshara and Aarohi Goenka, right?. Welcome to Forks High School. I assume you are here to complete your enrollment formalities?"

Akshara nodded with a smile, feeling a surge of anticipation. "Yes, Mrs. Cope." Mrs. Cope handed them a stack of papers and explained the enrollment process. Akshara and Aarohi carefully filled out the forms, providing the necessary information. As they completed the paperwork, they couldn't help but glance around the office, taking in the sights and sounds of their new school.

Once they finished filling out the forms, Mrs. Cope reviewed the paperwork and smiled at the sisters. "Everything seems to be in order. I must say, you both have quite an impressive academic record. I'm sure you'll make a smooth transition into our school community." Akshara and Aarohi thanked Mrs. Cope for her kind words and assistance.

As they left the office, they couldn't contain their excitement for the new opportunities that awaited them at Forks High School. Stepping out into the hallway, Akshara and Aarohi were greeted by a bustling crowd of students navigating their way to classes. Lockers lined the walls, teenagers chatting and laughing as they prepared for the day ahead. The sisters exchanged looks of anticipation, ready to immerse themselves in this new environment. With their schedules in hand, they began to navigate the halls, finding their classrooms and meeting new faces along the way.

As Akshara and Aarohi looked at their timetables, the excitement started to build up inside them as they looked at their classes for the day. As they compared their schedules, they realized that they had different classes for the first period. Aarohi had Spanish while Akshara had English. Aarohi quickly departed to her class with a short bye.

Akshara walked through the crowded hallways, trying to locate her English class. She stopped and checked her timetable again, making sure she had the right room number. After a few minutes of searching, Akshara started to feel lost and overwhelmed. She had never been good with maps.

Just when she was about to give up and head back to the front office, she saw a group of students chatting by the lockers. She headed over to them, hoping they could help.

"Hi, excuse me, can I ask you guys for some help?" Akshara asked politely.

The group turned to face her, curious and friendly. There were two girls and a boy, all of them seemed nice. One of the girls had short hair and glasses and the other girl had long brown hair and blue eyes. The boy was tall with dark brown hair and brown eyes.

The short-haired girl smiled at Akshara and said, "Sure, what do you need help with?"

"Um, I'm looking for my English class. I seem to be lost," Akshara explained.

The boy grinned. "Don't worry, we got you. What's your name? I'm Tyler Crowley , and these are my friends, Jessica Stanley and Angela Weber."

"I'm Akshara Goenka, I'm new here," Akshara said, relieved that she had found some friendly faces.

The group introduced themselves again, and Jessica chimed in, "You know, I have the same class. It's room 210, follow me."

Akshara let out a sigh of relief. She was grateful for their help and began to follow Jessica through the crowded hallways. As they walked, Jessica turned to Akshara and started to chat.

"So, where are you from, Akshara? " Jessica asked with genuine curiosity.

Akshara smiled and said, "I'm from India, and my family and I just moved here."

Jessica nodded in understanding. "Well, Forks is a pretty small town, but it's a nice place. You'll like it here."

As they turned a corner and approached their classroom, Akshara had a feeling that she was finally starting to settle into her new life in this unfamiliar place.

"Thanks for your help, Jessica. It was nice meeting all of you," Akshara said with a smile before heading nervously into her English class.

In this fic akshu's parents are kartik and naira right?? I started yrkkh for kaira, watched it on and off had stopped after naira died. Later came back after saw a few clips on social media on abhira, again started watching it I was gonna join the forum BUT THEN THEY INTRODUCED ABHINAV, didn't really like his character so don't. I started reading the fic but couldn't comment but not that I have made account I will read it. Please tag me when you post new chapters.

Now back to chap, it is great, you have written akshu's character as it was in the beginning in the show so carefree and positive. When I had first seen akshu intro I could see both OG Akshara and Naira in her, her personality was mix of her mother and grandmother, and of course if dkp is good at one thing it is choosing actor/actress for character, and pranali is beautiful and looked similar to mother/grandmother.

Loved the sibling scene, I would have imagined there bond would have been like that in the show nut AGAIN DKP smiley7 They made kairav spineless in the family only opening his mouth in front abhimanyu, and made vanished vansh, they could have given them some side plot/story like they had done in S1 and S2. BUT NO they ruined it.

Any way I am new here, I don't really know where to start on the forum so I made my first post here. Hi from my side, a new fellow forum member and abhira/kaira fan.

Mee too. That and harry potter, thankfully it the obsession has decreased over time. But I still like probably because those were the first novels that I had read and as teenager I was fascinated by them.
