why did Abhi get custody?

It doesn't make sense as most courts would not want to separate mother from child, it would take a lot. And here we have Abhir having two loving parents who are able to raise him and give him time, where Abhi is a busy doctor and won't be able to give him the same time and attention. Even in adoption cases, they tend to go with families who have to parents to support.

The reason given because they are poor is an extremely poor excuse. This is exactly what child support is for. Abhir would have been WAY better off in his original home, with both parents and the court should have ordered Abhi pay child support (and back pay too). And it would have made sense to give Abhi some visitation rights. It's just like a garbage reason to give him custody.... I have to agree that AK could have fought better herself or even a monkey could have

The judge said they care about who can give the best and provide the best future for the child. They also mentioned the forgery of the birth certificate. Abhi himself was surprised he got custody. He said they are both parents and a couple while it’s just me alone so I assumed they would get custody.

There is rumor about leap and Akshara to fight custody again as a lawyer herself, and Manish has already put in appeal for it.

Abhi was only given custody now to prepare for the rumored leap. I think the future custody is where they will have the reasonable arguments.
This must be also why they didn’t let Abhir in court, usually courts bring the child in also to see which parent the child also wants.

So makers just needed Abhi to have custody now to prepare for the custody battle for future - they didn’t care about proper execution, they just needed audience to know that Abhi got custody.

I can guarantee that in the future custody battle, Abhir will be brought into the court.

Abhimanyu got custody bcos his lawyer presented her argument in a better manner.

Akshara could have easily gained sole custody of Abhir if she had followed the law of the land from day 1.

Why abhi got custody ?

Because story can not move if akshu gets custody.

Because akshu's delusion will not break if abhir stays with her.

Because showing akshu as right on itv will hurt sentiments of those moms who has a son and who is struggling to deal with their ex dil.

Because moving akshu to kasauli will not create any drama for trp.

Because they have to move towards one ship now. Either it's abhira or navra. If abhir goes back to akshnav abhi/hc can leave peacefully. If abhir rejects akshnav for their lies and manipulations they can either kill akshnav and bring look alike of pr for abhi or they can show akshu confessing she did all this for abhir or abhinav turning negative.

There are two reason why abhi got custody.

1. Financial issue.

2. Forging birth certificate -which implies akshu is not ready to co parent as she erased abhi's name. She can fill hatred against abhi if abhir stays with her as court always ensures rights of both parents are protected.
