Who cares about Abhinav and Abhimanyu. MY post is about the character building of a female lead by the producers.
Yep and working women cannot be strong, progressive unless they want to accumulate money through constant business expansions?
All of us should turn hedgefund managers?
As shitty as ITV is, Akshara was shown to be moving on from her abusive, alleged soulmate. She was shown to have transformed from a whimpering, manic pixie ingenue for Abhimanyu to a strong, assertive woman who doesn't shy away from speaking her mind and castigating her husband. That is character growth.
But when she says she loves her husband, and he's the best decision of her life then we would insist that she has downgraded and compromised. And her very legal marriage is not a marriage at all because she trusted a stranger who took care of her through a traumatic pregnancy. So much respect for autonomy.
But her decision, previously, to marry a stranger who gaslighted her into a confession and used her sister as a collateral damage was sound because stranger danger applies to Abhinav but not Abhimanyu?
