That's exactly how conflicting emotions are shown. When you wanna murder the hero for not giving his wife a chance to explain, for trusting his mother so much who planned their separation, for not trusting their love ..but still you feel for the guy as he is wronged by the most imp and trustworthy person of his life ...chahe jitna regressive ho but they mostly always show the women moving on and if she comes bk to her husband , there is a proper arc for it which either leaves you satisfied or conflicted but you never despise them.

Before someone tells me that a limited epi series are better at story telling, yes I know .

Once upon a time yrkkh was a show which focussed on the conflicts deeply ..naitik asked akshara to get out of the house in anger when nandini mohit affair truth was revealed but how they got together ? The issue was not whether mohit should marry nandini or not (it was dealt with later ) , the issue was it was naitiks fault to use such words ..the moment aksharas father knew how he behaved with her daughter , he quietly got up frm the samdhis house and never pleaded them to take akshara... the singhanias and later naitik had to apologize to akshara properly .

The point is always about showing the right perspective..when they ruined yrkkh n brought it to the level of ghum, kya hi kehna..its expected

Aaj kal Vankar se sab seekh rahe hain.. Even humare Rajan uncle.. 😆

However..do watch humsafar , its a cult show.very well written..one does hate the ml at some point , but the fl makes up for all his nonsense by her attitude ..its so good to see such a FL. The ml is gray ..the story is a little sad but it's engaging..watch it for the fls journey

Humsafar is a really really good show.. Ml's character arc also is very well done.. There's a triangle there too, and a manipulative mil.. But the story is good, even if it follows a repetitive trope. I especially liked how in the ending the heroine talks about broken love/trust. It was sad but true.

Another really good Paki show you can watch is Zindagi Gulzar Hai.

I do have one issue with the ending. Even in the end, it was not meenakshi's choice who she gets to be with irrespective of whom she wanted to choose or her reason why she was choosing that person. In the end too it was decided for her by akhilesh just like how earlier in the story too it was his decision to end their relationship by abandoning her after her father's death.

Thanks, Missbehave!! because of you, I read the Wiki. I realized that I was wrong about Akhil's full name. It is not Akhilesh but Akhilachandran, But everyone calls him Akhil all the time... I may have missed it.

Now coming to your point, Yes if we see only that part, we may have felt that Meenakshi's decision was not considered. But character-wise, all three of them grew from the beginning of the movie.

Meenakshi often tells that she always forgave Akhil and let Akhil do whatever he wanted because of her father. Her father loved Akhilesh very dearly. She was always brought up by saying Akhil has no one other than her. She sacrificed many things for him just for her father. She felt sympathy and care and affection for him but his violent nature and his drinking habits made her not like him. Even when she sent the letter, She was only partly doing it because of genuine feelings and mostly doing it for her father. In the end, She again decides to sacrifice but this time not for her father's wish, not because of her letter's condition, but because she felt it was now her duty to sacrifice. Akhil really did not have anyone else other than her.

Everyone advises her to not do it, as she may regret it. Even Meenakshi agrees that she may later regret it.. but she have to do what is she feels is right.

Akhil grew up spoiled and self-centered. For him, Meenakshi's sacrifices were not much valuable. By the end of the movie, He senses the sacrifice that both Giri(whom he genuinely started to like) and Meenakshi are making for him. He also knows that Meenakshi knows she is sacrificing. He knows that Giri is hurt. He for the first time, values Meenakshi's sacrifice. He understands the gravity of her sacrifice. And knowing Meenakshi's stubborn nature, (who never lost to anyone other than Akhil), this time also, He had to defeat Meenakshi by doing a mistake she would regret. Only Akhil had that power as no one could change Meeakshi's decision. He just loves Meenakshi that much and knows her that deeply. It is the same as before but this time his win was for her happiness rather than his ego.

Giri was a sipmle person. He only heard about the toxic part of Akhil and assumed the worst of him always. But after meeting him and knowing about him from his friends and close ones.. Giri realized that Akhil was not that bad of a person. In the beginning, He would pray to god multiple times for Akhil to not come. He believed that he could provide her happiness. But in the end, he realizes that Meenakshi also had the right to choose if she wants to be happy or not.

All 3 of them loved and cared for each other by the end. The situation brought them much closer. In the end, There was no win or loose as the 3 of them saw in the beginning. It is only right and wrong. 3 of them chose, what felt right to them.

P.S: It was difficult to answer trying not to spoil much... I wonder if I spoiled too much for others. Sorry if that is the case.

P.P.S: Thank You Miss Behave Again, Now that I read the wiki, I found out that the actor who played Akhil got a State award for his performance. I really liked his performance.

Yeah..unfortunately there r handful of shows which were good from a-z. There r some really good shows but I felt none of them cud match the execution of zgh and humsafar. Dur e shehwar is a good show but it's very sad ..yeah sometimes charming heros also do the trick 😆

Hey looks like an interesting movie will definitely give that a try. I really can't stand toxic or violent males. But honestly abhi in the initial days was more of an intense lover than this mindless namuna we are seeing now. His anger was more directed towards PB because of the trauma inflicted upon his mom and only other moment is when he was triggered by kairav during tilak 1.0

But I felt Akshara is not your meenakshi because our akshu is manipulative, cold, and cruel since the beginningonly difference being she was doing everything out of her foolishness, now she does out of selfishness. I never liked how she tried bringing abhi and arohi closer to get brownie points from arohi. Also she was manipulating abhi into agreeing for marriage with arohi by hiding things about atohi as well as the things she did for him, I never liked her character and whenever someone compares her with OG akshara it triggers me.

Also ppl might dislike me but abhinav is saner than the above two but he's no less stupid, for instance where's the understanding husband when he got the discharge papers ready for abhir without discussing with OG mother akshara. CVs have been trying to highlight his character to the peaks to sail their new ship so that arohi also gets some SS and they will have some leeway to move their already saturated plot ahead but the values of YRKKH have died.

I did say in my post that Abhimanyu was not as bad as Akhil. But they do have a similarity that they take impulsive decisions in anger and later regret it. Both of their relationships are affected by their anger. Even before the white day, Abhi felt like a person who had no control over his anger. When he is angry, he never sees the situation or the people in that situation. During Akshara's pehli rasoi, The way he escalated the situation with his anger at his father made me feel bad as that was Akshara's first day and her first memory of the first day is a bad one. And many other examples.

Yes, Abhinav is not that well written. I know. He is just going to die. That is why they are not even bothering to create any depth to his character. Giri was a smart, sensible, good man. Abhinav cannot be compared to Giri. But they do share some qualities.. that they both can see the big picture. They both realize and respect the woman they love a person first.

Akshara... as manipulative... That is funny...🤣🤣🤣

I wouldn't say she is manipulative. I would just say she is the most poorly-written character out there... She is stupid. And she never thinks about her decisions. She is always surprised by the outcome of her decisions... Here, Meenakshi seeks out advice, and talks to other people about what is on her mind. She lets others understand why she took any decision. She is very vocal leaving no room for doubt, Here Akshara is an enigma for her own family, forget Abhimanyu or Abhinav. The writers made her purposefully a person without any perspective because then they can change the story whenever they want.

like for example, when she sang for the first time after Leap, Yes, she sang because of her son and a mother can do anything for her son.. fight trauma.. yada yada... Why did she stop? If it was Because of Abhimanyu.. then when she started singing again or when she sang a lullaby or, maybe after the singing.. she could have remembered Abhimanyu. Something... Now she is singing as though nothing stopped her from the beginning. I am so at a loss what she is thinking every time.

I found akshara to be manipulative, maybe not by intent but when she's convinced with her utopian prism, she's convinced of the outcome, she ignores her actions or the means of achieving something, IMO the means is as important as the end result.

For instance the way she behaved during abrohi wedding 1.0. She was sure it was painful for abhi yet she forced him to do things, his love to her doesn't give her any HAQ when she isn't reciprocating it. Also, when she knew about Arohi kaarnamas one minute, she slapped her, and from the next minute, she started skirting her truths from everyone, including her bade papa. IMO, that's an insult or shows her disrespect to her BP. After all, adults aren't just there to foot our wedding bills.

Sadly, because of akshara, Goenkas had to get humiliated at the wedding altar, I never found her to be changing her behaviour or truly regretting her actions. Because we don't see any resolve or atleast actions stating otherwise.

She again hid facts during the mandir accident track of manjari, her organising abhi parents wedding anniversary without discussing with abhi, the most important person in her life and getting upset at abhi in return. Point be taken she has entered their house and not the otherway round. Unfortunate but true if you go to someone's house you have to make your place there before calling the shots.

Akshu shows the traits of Borderline Personality Disorder(BPD) where ppl imagine everything in extreme. This results in the person running away from situations. She's also ahown to be lacking any willpower, IMO who are we to decide for others, take for instance her resolve to stop singing when she isn't sure she shouldn't have stopped it in the first place and restarting for her child after 6 or whatever years without any provocation, what does all that imply.

Her character has been unpredictable, erratic, stupid, manipulative, and devoid of basic common sense. Sometimes Arohi felt better than her. I was looking for the traits of her mom Naira/Akshara her Naani qualities, she was a sweet, poignant yet sensitive girl a princess at her maayka who transitioned to a fine respectable woman treated like a queen at her in-laws Despite her flaws and imperfections.

This has been my complaint

No need to say sorry. I think I'm one of those rare people who love spoilers and don't get when people get so angry or hyper over spoilers. 🤣

In Krishnagudi movie “Hero” is Giri and heroine is “Meenakshi” .. Her fiance was introduced as a person audience knew would leave..

In YRKKH hero/heroine are Abhimanyu and Akshara.. Abhinav is a great guy..But I am still doubtful if he will be end game..
