Where did I state that it was okay to abuse Abhira fans at all let alone on their class, dialect, body, profession?

Lastly, I remember engaging only twice with Diya.

One, where I said that music is one of Akshara's trigger now after being accused of causing the death of a person at the venue of her concert. And Diya responding with a false equivalency of whether I would blame Abhimanyu's abusive ways on his anxiety pills.

And how she does not understand how people let emotions (read trauma) control them and is a practical person.

Secondly, sorry I did not know that saying that orpans rarely turn out "being good" like Abhinav is not a prejudiced, ad hominen statement and should not have been called out as calling such a statement out is cyber bullying? Got it.

Having said that, I still would appreciate if you or Diya could specifically point out what are the other instances of cyberbullying that the nonexistent Navra fandom has meted out on Abhira fans or some of them for the sake of not making generalisations.

But these prejudiced statements are problematic is what Diya is trying to say here....please don't say people here don't make generic statements that make it sound like all of us are advocates of domestic abuse and all of it. We are not. Attacking someone for what they like does not make those same people advocates for what they like.

Saying stuff like we like to see domestic abuse just because someone says something against Abhinav the character or whatever is equally triggering. When mental health is a topic of discussion, forum members sensitivity and mental health should be before these actors who may never read our posts.

Diya really is not talking about JS, HC or PR....she's talking about everyone's mental health getting affected by unnecessary attacks. That's all. And it's a very fair thing to say considering the kind of words and assumptions easily done everywhere on forum from both sides!

For me the character of Akshara can choose whatever she wants...if she wants physical intimacy for comfort with someone she does not love....I don't approve of character assassination of her choices. She can do whatever she wants and I do not have a problem with Nav being a driver or middle class man or friend or orphan. I just have a problem with his character eating into the ss of the character this leap was based upon. That's all. Thats my only take on Nav as a character.

And if it's still not clear....you can't accuse some victims or survivors of abuse for being supporters of abuse without knowing anything about them. That's the point.

And FYI both Diya and me don't agree with each other on Akshara or Abhimanyu the characters..we constantly differ but coexist without attacking each other!

So I could never be her proxy...coz we actually don't think alike on the story but we think alike on this topic of mental health here ...that's all😆

People specifically mention that their contention is only with the toxic (twitter) part of the fandkm. But people from the fandom speak in such genral terms regarding who their criticism is directed towards. That does not make it a fair comparison. And certain statements from certain people are so problematic that they are hard to be ignored and honestly, deserve to be called out. And we can all agree (even the neutral fandom) with that.

Here, I agree.. Even non-toxic fans.. make some really problematic statements.. and sometimes pass it of as joke or universal fact that it is difficult not to call out.

But if I may add, the way people call out the problematic statements should also be in a sensible manner.

Absolutely agree and I've seen you do that fearlessly! Appreciate it but honestly...we can't control the way people think..so when someone sounds repetitive I just ignore coz some people just like one narrative and again that is their choice!

This is a platform ultimately to exchange views, we will always find people that we feel like calling out but it may not go exactly where it pleases us. We'll always find people to disagree with. Utna time hai to ok, otherwise ignorance is bliss!
