We can only hope they don't do to their new ML what they did to their last one. Although I do think they're a little bound here given HC's seniority and star power. He's not exactly going to roll with a lot of stuff Mohsin easily said yes to. And there's an established bias which ironically has done nothing to elevate the script. Typical DKP copouts: write shitty stuff, gaslight the audience for not giving you trps, write some more shitty stuff.👏

Bold . Exactly audience are not obliged to give trps to the shit they write. Kaira were established so well before akshara #1 exited . Nobody believed that yrkkh will run without her but it did . Kaira made it and it was all bec of balanced characterizations, right dose of romance , drama , family and no negativity . The moment thy shifted In storytelling with ott negative goenkas , kaira started losing ground but fans kept watching coz they got addicted.

I won't say abhira has reached the same stage where shitty tracks will be watched only bec abhira r there .

Rajan S must be very careful as the same tactics led to the closure of yrhpk. Changing tracks in between, dumb down the leads , continous plotting by vamps. It might work in other shows bec they have diff audience..fans of yrkkh expect them to have no negativity, good chemistry and good family drama .

Anyone who saw the previous generation fully would know how different that first separation was from this one.. Just watching random clips and praising what one is already biased towards against something that isn't even properly known is plain ignorance.

But then I'm not above admitting that I have certain biases and if people are enjoying the show then they must've done something right.

But with @bold: I agree. Abhira's 'love' isn't half as convincing and so the only thing tiding them over right now is the high intensity high voltage drama. The leap again is a gigantic haphazard mess and symbolic of how far they've strayed from the show's OG values. But whatever it's still better than the entire post shaadi/confession phase. That was a dud.😆

Just saw the post leap episode of today... I was rather hoping it would improve and get back some of the lost charm, carried away by the overall high expectations of viewers.. But I think it's going to just be more of the shitty writing and really really bad direction. Akshu's song and the vibes around it were the only nice part.. That was really good and I was all eager..then came the horror of Abhimanyu as a participant of some IRON MAN competition!! Is that clicking with anyone? Isn't it making a joke out of the surgeon?

There was a bucket list made by Abhira, competition stuff was a last minute half baked attempt by the same woman who has screwed up the earlier tracks.

For ex doc doc, valentine day etc.

The S2 writers have robbed the characters profession with the singer and hand track.

Yes instead of the iron man display, what the team of writers could have done is get Abhimanyu to sit in a corner of him gym and recollect in detail how he lost Akshu.

A entire extra episode with flash backs was the need of the hour because the sudden transformation of a. Surgeon and therapist can be unsettling for legacy TV fans.

Instead of Kartik and Abhimanyu let us take the mother daughter reference.

Why can't Akshu be hot headed like her mother? speaking at the right time is necessary otherwise in real life too.

Make her strong and vocal.

There has to be more than just a Maya in between KK and Akshu..No trp aunts are going to buy or accept the conditions put forth by Khera.

It is all verbal and based on mutual understanding, anyone with presence of mind can back out or turn hostile when unreasonable demands are made in the form of ransom.

For me Akshu trying to help her brother is more connecting than the absurd condition.

Utkarsh along with new set of writers better give& valid explanations as to why Akshu is willing to sacrifice her life in exchange of the surgery.

Maya is not Aarohi and Kunal is not Kairav.

From the injury aspect, Abhi can get a relapse as he is trying to be a daredevil.

You are absolutely right, the comparison was top of the iceberg basedOn two out of context scenes l. The situations between the two were drastically different as well - it would be like comparing Akshara’s accident and Manjari’s accident. While they involve two maternal figures, the dynamics, causes, and repercussions couldn’t be more different.

So that is entirely on me and you guys are absolutely right! I wasn’t very clear in the comparison I was acc trying to make nor was my example appropriate. I had a thought on my mind since the season began and I jumped to share it when I saw two popular scenes that i knew readers could draw from even if they didn’t watch season 2. What I should’ve said was that there are stronger parallels between Naira and Akshu (obv they’re mother and daughter) and that’s evident in how they protect their loved ones. When people think of Kaira, they think of Naira the sherni who wouldn’t let anyone speak Ill of Kartik. Yes, Kartik defended her too but that wasn’t his most prominent characteristic, especially after how he was butchered as the season went on. Likewise, Akshu’s most vocal avatar comes out to defend Abhimanyu.

The parallels between Kartik and Abhimanyu aren’t there and I personally despise when the makers tried to insist with the Manish seeing Kartik in Abhimanyu. What the two characters share is a contrast, Abhimanyu being cool-headed and always defending Akshu even when he is raging. Whereas Kartik is quick to rush to conclusions and in that could lose sight of Naira. But that too involves an error on my part because I have the whole picture of Kartiks character - almost 6 years of watching him everyday whereas Abhi (hopefully) has only started his journey. The ten months Kartik is drastically different from the Kartik we ended on and so it’s an unfair comparison.

Concerning any biases, I’d acc say it’s the opposite 😂 I love Harshad since Dil se Dua but Abhimanyu In his 10 tens months isn’t my favourite YRKKH hero or my favourite Harshad character. Whereas Mohsin, in his 10 months acc drew me back to YRKKH (I wasn’t really a fan of the show after it’s Cape Town leap). His cuteness and the consistency in the ten months was my favourite. In the beginning I preferred him to Shivangi (sounds so weird to say that to me now when Shivi is my ITV FAV!) To be fair, I also say that as someone who watched Mohsin in dream girl and saw his acting improve heaps and bounds in the tens months here.

When they plan a leap in one week what else could happen? Contrived and open ended plots loaded with stupidity . Jaipur police couldn't locate kairav in 1 yr . Thy were anyways not interested in the case.

Akshu can never be naira . Akshu sabki amma banne ki koshish karti hai while naira was young , mischievous and hot headed . Although she was upset with kartiks family setting , naira was not crying "hayee family hayee family" "hayee mera kartik " every now and then. Akshara #1 was raw , she had an arc ..naira also had one.

But akshu has started in reverse. From Ms know it all ms fix it all ms sacrifice for all ms keep quiet for all ,kisi ko tension nai deni, dukh nai dena" , "ye sab kya ho raha hai , ye mere bas mei nai hai, Kanha ji sab theek kar denge , mere parivar blah blah" , she is a mess. Behen kanha ji apne lok se aake tumhari problem ka Hal nai nikalenge na , that much you will have to do. Sacrificing abhimanyu has become her fav pastime

I cannot believe this is yeh rishta😆 Well actually I can if I look at the graph of the show in the last 2-3 years.

Then there's the fact that Kartik was also like 23-24 when he entered the show whereas Abhimanyu started the show as a mature, senior 29? year old surgeon. So there's the age part. But Abhimanyu does gaslight Akshu a lot and downplays her ability to judge things in front of the entire family which can be patronizing and suffocating all on its own.

Again I fully accept the fact that I have a strong bias for Kartik and that colors my opinion 😆 but I prefer him over Abhimanyu because of how consistently written and well played he was by Mohsin. And I have to agree. I didn't even watch yeh rishta for a long time because I didn't care for the leads but the moment I did Kaira sucked me in. Mohsin improved leaps and bounds. His performance in the last 2-3 years of Kaira was >>> He really honed his craft. Shivangi was phenomenal as Naira from the get go. And Naira was such a rare well-written character for an ITV show. She could be mahaan one second and a total idiot the next. I kind of loved that about her.😆

I've loved HC from kis desh days and the only reason I returned to yrkkh was to watch him and what khichdi they've made of abhira's story.
