Akshu considers Aarohi a reflection of herself. She calls Aarohi's successes her own and sees Aarohi's failures as her failure to be a good sister or parent. For example, in the first episode when Manish was advising her to rebuke Aarohi or not take her attitude anymore, Akshu insisted she wouldn't do either as it would be giving up on Aarohi. Giving up on Aarohi, for Akshu, would be giving up on herself and admitting her defeat.
Abhi first became special for Akshu because he recognized Akshu as a separate yet unique identity. For example, the simplicity dialogue when he first met the sisters together. Akshu's face showed a subtle expression of surprise as he recognized her when she didn't.

That's plain stupidity from Akshara's side for all her talk of family, right and wrong, and pyaar.
Parents or elder sibling's love is indeed where they consider the child a reflection of themselves, but that definitely includes rebuking and giving up on the child (who is a fully grown woman abusing the parent Akshara here) when it's needed.
Even birds without 6 senses push their chicks brutally out of the nest and give up - leaving the chicks to learn to fly on their own, learn to fall and get up on their own, and most importantly face the deserved consequences for their own actions.
Rebuking the child/sibling, not giving into the child's manipulation, and not taking the shit (sorry for the language) that the child throws at the parent or elder sibling is what sensible people do.
Akshara has become insane in her obsession for arooo. As many have pointed out, she needs to think about what her life is, and whether her life has any meaning, without arooo in the picture. She needs to find a purpose for herself in life, independent of arooo, and grow some self respect. That won't come with marriage or love. That has to come from within. She will only spoil the life of anyone she marries at this point.
There's a saying: even if it's mother and child, their mouths and stomachs are different. After birth, the child has to breathe and eat by itself, for itself. Mother can spoon feed, but can't eat for the child. If the child and mother don't realize that the child is an independent entity, then it ceases to exist.
If she is so into parenting, doesn't she think even for a second, what'll happen to her "jaan" arooo after she goes to jail covering up arooo's crime? Arohi will commit another mistake or crime and may even kill someone now. Who's going to save her then?
Also, what's with the chants of "World's best sister", given all the immoral things arohi has been doing throughout? Being blinded and hiding truths, on top of it being crazy enough to praise a criminal! I just can't 🤔
