Why do people here in the forum keep saying akshara hurt abhimanyu by her rejections?

Wasn't it the other way round?

The most humilating and painful thing is to watch your lover marry your sister. Abhimanyu was almost marrying aarohi and would have done it unless akshara's extreme sacrifice thats the fire truth didn't come out.

He didn't act in akshara's best interest despite knowing he was hurting her.

Akshara was clearly hurt when abhimanyu informed her that he is going to marry aarohi-- saw her crying in kitchen--saw her puppy eyes yearning for him--- then saw the mehendi stamp too.

She hugged him twice in the drunken fiasco episode. Plus he was sure she loves him. Yet he was proceeding with all this while inflicting pain on akshara.

For maa ki khushi, he would have married aarohi hurting akshara way too much.

Where is it done that if you reject a guy, he marries your sister? It's so twisted and humilating.

We can love people from a distance too.

Just because akshara didn't accept his proposal, doesn't mean he will marry the other sister and become her husband and torture akshara lifelong whenever he comes in front of her.

Don't tell me akshara herself wanted this situation. She rejected abhimanyu but she didn't expect abhimanyu will propose aarohi.

And why does this man keep blaming akshara after he gets those flashbacks that you gave up on our love? He was the first one to give up on it by proposing to aarohi- what was he expecting a family oriented girl like akshara who has already rejected him would stop his wedding with aarohi? 😵

Maa ki khushi was just a cover..his actual purpose in proposing Aarohi was to rub Akshu's face in dirt for her rejection of him...Abhi's love is SELFISH, there is no doubt about it.. It is all about him, never about Akshu. There's no comfort in his love for Akshu, from the moment he felt himself in "the first throes" of passion, he has been in some way or other just complicating Akshu's life.. If his love was truly unselfish and generous he would have.. 1. First approached Akshu in private to ask her if she reciprocates his feelings for her. 2. If at that moment due to Akshu not fully understanding her own heart had rejected him, he would have given her space and then courted her and waited for her to also feel same way for him, bcz he was also aware from first that Akshu was attracted to him. 3. If in the meantime bcz of Aarohi's interference Akshu continued to blow hot and cold, a sensible man like how Abhi is supposed to be would have tried to find out the reason for her behavior and when he found out about the sister dynamics, there could be many ways to get around that without forcing and emotionally manipulating Akshu to declare herself.

This force and control are the defining characteristics of Abhimanyu's love because of the kind of man he is.. I know men like him in real life for whom their idea of love is more important to them than the choices and comfort of the one they profess to love.. It is a punishment to live with such men. They are the worst husbands, justifying every coercion in the name of love and maintaining that they know best what is good for their partner. And invariably such men gravitate towards the quite, submissive type of females who may take time to make their choices in life but are not dumb and definitely know what they want, just take time to get there. But men like Abhimanyu do not give them that time and space and forever force their decisions on them.. The way Abhi first forced her to choose him against her sister and then again pushed her to immediately find peace and happiness in that decision of cutting off her sister from the wedding (which is just the first step in his plan to remove her from Akshu's life entirely) is typical of his character. And it is no point that because he did not send her to jail, this condition was the least he did, or that it was in Akshu's interest. Because sending her to jail was not really an option, as both families are one now.. Abhi could very well see that with aaroo in jail, akshu would be too distraught for her to be happy with him which means he wouldn't be enjoying either.. and also all the bad publicity which would ensue for both families in society and media. So this condition also is a selfish and vindictive step on his part.

And just as an aside, because nobody seems to remember this point in all the discussions on the accident fiasco... 1.Aarohi overdosing and putting her own life at risk firstly was actually because of Abhi unfairly shouting at her and humiliating her in the mandir. 2. The one who actually crashed the car in the haystack was Akshu, not Aarohi because it was akshu who forcibly turned the steering to avoid hitting the kid and so hit the hay behind which apparently Manjari was. Also, to be completely fair to the sisters, they didn't really see that they had hit anyone, just saw that they'd hit the huge haystacks. And it was only Akshu's feeling that there might be something else there. She sensed it and not Aarohi, because she was fully in her senses unlike Aarohi who was drugged. This is definitely different from if they had actually seen themselves crashing into a person and seeing that person fall and then just leaving him/her there. If Abhi had taken them to court, a lawyer would have argued so in defense to prove that legally it wasn't really a hit and run.

Please don't mind my rant here uninvited, on your thread. Just wanted to clear some points which hadn't been considered.

I do believe Abhi was Aarohi's trigger on that day but I don't think that negates or excuses her actions. The choices she made were hers and her decision to cover up the blood (and like choices) cannot be attributed to anything other than looking after her self-interest to the point that she became insensitive about the value of human life.

While I see where you were going with this, it still doesn't change the fact that she would've hit someone. If not Manjari in a haystack, she'd hit a kid (equally bad IMO though I don't see why there would be a debate). Akshu just changed the victim.

You do bring up a point I failed to recognize so thank you. Aarohi wasn't in her senses and maybe the accident didn't sober her up, so she didn't realize she'd hit someone. But I do think a part of her knew she did. The way she was deflecting when Akshu proposed checking and how she ran away from the scene made me believe she was in denial.

I've talked about Akshu's response to the accident (and the events after) and why I found it brought a selfish and desperate side out of her in many of my other posts so I don't want to repeat myself. You're free to check it out and thank you for sharing your ideas with us!

Neither sister is a saint and I don't want to compare them. I'm not trying to bash Aarohi and I hope no one construes it that way. I just want to acknowledge both sides of them for I find them to be interesting people with lots of potentials (story-wise).

Not going to comment on your take on pre confession Abhimanyu because I know defensive and rude you get when anybody points out anything remotely good about his character. Your view of such men maybe your experience and I respect that. I have also seen submissive women ruin their life appeasing toxic so called khoon ke rishte. And Aarohi is a bad egg who definitely needs to cut out of people's life and get counseling to reform herself before even talking to people.

Also good job playing lawyer to DUI culprit. It doesn't matter what the reason for her overdose was (forget that she is a doctor who knows medication". She was a liability on the road who shouldn't have been behind the wheel. She had already crashed and hurt Akshara once, before she started driving crazily again. According to you Akshara is responsible because she turned the wheel (in an injured state) to save a little kid. I absolutely agree that they should have checked because mind you even Aarohi agreed that she felt that they hit something big. It's only when Akshara suggested that it might be a person that she got scared, said it's a stone and STARTED BACKING OUT before Akshara could step down. Here both are at fault for not checking but yes it was an "accident" that only the "intoxicated driver will be held responsible for in any court"

But Abhi's whole beef with the accident was not the actual accident but the run part (which Aarohi did not Akshara). And then when she figured out her car hit someone before Manjari was even found. She could have told and the search could have been much quicker and they would probably even be forgiven but she chose to hide and destroy evidence. Destroying evidence is a crime.

I am not even getting started on emotional manipulation she did on Akshara and even tried to on Abhi (dead mother rant). Abhimanyu could have easily sent her to prison but didn't because of Akshara. According to you whatever his supposed manipulative reason for banning Aarohi is, he has every right to ask of this especially seeing how this girl has absolutely no guilt of the crime but only guilt of getting caught and letting Akshara take her blame so easily.

I live in the states and the first thing we are taught while learning to drive is not getting behind the wheel under any kind of intoxication is the driver's responsibility (not Abhimanyu's). You are free to hate Abhimanyu for his characteristics but

1. Don't lump an innocent passenger trying to save a kid from visible danger as the culprit for the accident

2. Don't blame other people's insults as an excuse for over dosing and DUI

Sorry I am new to the forum so don't know how to Quote properly.

Most of my reply to your DUI defense is in my previous reply. But why shouldn't he be vindictive? I know I would be if someone dared to hurt my Mama. Why the burden of being mature and forgiving always falls on the leads? Why is Abhimanyu judged for being human but Aarohi is discounted for the same. This is the best punishment for both. Aarohi being the narcissistic pig that she is hates being held accountable and would suffer being excluded from an event she wasn't even interested in to begin with (better than jail time) and Akshara would learn to live beyond her precious criminal sister. The time here is really less compare to the crime.
