Yup its really bad that Abhimanyu's feelings for Akshara looks more like an obsession. He gets angry with her because he thought she chose Aarohi over their relationship and now returned because he didn't wanted to lose her even though the anger is still fresh in his mind.
The writing of this track is damn poor. On one hand they show Aarohi is now ok with Abhira marriage in order to whitewash her. On the other hand they show Akshara taking the route of self-harm yet again to save Aarohi and then Abhimanyu decides to slowly throw away Aarohi from her life. It will be damn hard for Abhimanyu because it's not easy to make Akshara detached from Aarohi. What she has for Aarohi is more of a responsibility and obligation.
I actually thought that yesterday's episode highlighted Abhi's love for Akshu in a way that it has never been shown before. What he did yesterday was more of a testament to his love for her than any music department, sangeet surprise, destination wedding, etc. could ever be.
Abhi is a man who is extremely impulsively rageful. He does not see anything beyond his anger in the heat of the moment. Yesterday, Manjari got through to him. When she was explaining to him, you could see that he was understanding exactly what she was saying, but he was being stubborn, and his anger kept creeping back up. It wasn't until she said don't marry Akshu that he realized what he was doing. It wasn't until she reminded him of who Akshu is that he got jolted back into reality. In his rage, he forgot who the girl is that he fell in love with.
The misunderstanding still hasn't been fully cleared on his end, and he is still upset. But, he showed up regardless. That is what you do for the people you love. You show up for them, you protect them, you fight for them...even when you are upset with them. You don't leave them stranded. Of course he is scared of losing her too, so he came. But what is wrong with that? Aren't we all scared of losing the people we love? He chose to show up and work through their problems rather than giving up. That is a testament of his love in my POV!
I actually think that the writing of this track is really good, especially for the way it was going before and how they turned it around. It really does highlight Aarohi, Akshu, and Abhi's biggest, most powerful characterstics and how those characterstics impact their relationships with each other.
For Aarohi-- she doesn't give a damn about anyone except herself. I don't think her being okay with the wedding is her being whitewashed. She thought she had escaped the accident, so she didn't care about anything else for the time being. That's just who she is. She will come back with her next kaand pretty soon now after she will be exposed and blasted by Abhi. Akshu won't speak up this time either, and she will support Abhi in his request to get married without her, even if it deeply pains her, because she cannot do anything to lose him at this point.
As I wrote in other posts in this thread, I totally agree with you that it isn't Akshu's love that binds her to Aarohi. It is her past traumas, guilt, and burdens. The Goenaks have made the entire situation worse and paved way for this to happen, as they have never supported nor stood up for Akshu, not even helped her try to come out of the feelings of obligation and "auto pilot" mode she has for Aarohi.
Abhi's love is the only thing that can get her out of it. He sees Harsh-Manjari in Aarohi-Akshu, and it kills him. To see Akshu giving her all to a women who doesn't give a sh*t about her. Of course it won't be easy for him to get Akshu out of this relationship, but he will never stop trying.
In the end, it will be Abhi who agrees to let Aarohi come, because he cannot see Akshu in pain. But, just the very fact that she stood by him will be a step forward in easing his insecurities and also in getting her out of this toxic mess.
The reason Akshu went into self destruct mode yesterday and took the blame is ultimately because she thought she had lost Abhi. She remembered Aarohi crying about her career -- she didn't care about that before, when she ran to tell Abhi. Because, Abhi's love is stronger than Aarohi's manipulations. But, yesterday, when she thought Abhi wasn't coming, those same moments resulted in her traumas and burdens overtaking her. He is her strength, just like she is his.
