From abhimanyu's babytalking to akshara to now openly showing his haq by shamelessly going shirtless in goenka house to give her unadultered fun He is now treating her like a proper lady and seeing her sexually, before marriage was fixed he was trying to understand her problems instead of being a despo for physical things. I agree- abhi has transformed. I remember few of us had talked about it. It was like abhi is waiting for things to get official. And it was literally that.

Abhi is extremely comfortable around Akshara. She means everything to him. He can bare his soul infront of her and he will not even blink an eye.

Also, I keep saying this but honestly my favorite part of that entire curtain sequence was how Abhi put the curtain on as a shirt and did not take it off the entire time, because he knew that Akshu was flustered and that's what she asked him to do. His respect for her and her comfort is above all else for him. And I think that's beautiful! That is why their scenes always are executed so passionately and innocently at the same time!
