Since Kairav & Vansh are still active characters on the show, they need a recap too.
Y'all empathise with Akshu because she has had a rough childhood? Kairav & Vansh have had literally the most tragic lives of all in the show's history. May be this will help new viewers hate them a little less.
Kairav
- When Naira got pregnant with him, she had blood clotting & memory loss issues. So Kairav's survival rate as a fetus was super low. Conceive hote hi tragedy shuru 🤡
- Before she could share her preggo news with anyone, Kartik asked her if she's sleeping with her boss. So despite her high-risk pregnancy, she ran away & faked her death. Instead of.. Like.. Go to her brother's house & live safely? No, she chose to overwork as a waitress while she had poor Kairav in her belly. 🤪
- So for the first 4 years of his life, Kairav lived just with his mother in Goa. In poverty, isolation, depression, & neglect.
- He found Kartik all by himself because he needed a father that bad. He was made to think that dad stays away on secret missions.🐷
- He had an open heart surgery at age 4 & cannot handle much stress/exertion if he wants to stay alive.
- Once parents came face to face, he was traumatised by their constant fighting.
- He begged his parents for a sister & has loved Akshu to death since her birth. ❤️
- Once his parents randomly adopted a homeless girl & honestly even ignored him quite a bit during that track. He couldn't accept her immediately. Kaira couldn't tolerant that one Yashoda-Devaki skit cannot change a kid's emotions overnight. So they scolded & isolated him till he accepted her. 👏
- This one time Vansh jumped off a balcony for a dare & almost died. Naira blamed Kairav for trying to kill him. Kept scolding him into accepting it even though he kept saying he's innocent. Going by Naira's word, Gayu started blaming him too. 🤬
- As a result he developed panic attacks & had to be kept away from Naira for months. Kartik took him to a therapist but Naira thought a therapist is baharwali. Only mother knows best. When he got better, the therapist kidnapped him.😆
- Naira died in front of his eyes. He himself was on that bus that killed her.
- After the accident, Kartik freaking lost it. He turned into a crazy zombie. Poor Kairav had to handle both Kartik & Akshu.💔
- Eventually when Kartik gathered himself, he turned hyperpossessive for his kids. Poor Kairav had to handle that too.
- To 'cure' Kartik, Manish guilt tripped Kairav into going away from him to a boarding school.
- He was the first one to spot Sirat. Remember back when Naira had told him that his father stays away on secret missions & Kairav found him himself? Yeah, that messed him up for good. He thought now Naira was on a secret mission & he'll have to get her back now.👍🏼
- He eventually had a mental breakdown & almost died. He used to cry so much during those episodes, he was gut wrenching.💔
- When he finally realised that Sirat isn't Naira, he wanted to go away from her. But by then Kartik had already sought a thrill being Sirat's hero. So he moved Sirat to Goenka Villa instead of allowing his kid space to move on.🤪
- Sirat played wedding ping pong between Kartik & her ex. Poor Kairav was along for the emotional rollercoaster. 😛
- Before Sirat-Kartik's wedding, Kairav never had a stable home. Goa, Singhania Sadan, Goenka Villa, Vansh's nani's place, Mumbai, boarding school. He kept being thrown around by his parents every couple of months. 🤡
- He was on the flight that killed Kartik. So while Akshu & Arohi are traumatised by Sirat's death. Imagine Kairav! He was not only a part of the accidents that killed both his parents, he witnessed them too! 🥺
