Birlas vs Goenkas - what did they care about today?

Usually it feels like the Goenkas are the good guys and the Birlas are the abs guys. The elders among the Goenkas don’t have any hidden agenda, they made mistakes but it is from stupidity rather than maliciousness. This has not been the case with the Birlas. Mahima and Harsh have a lot of hidden agenda. Harsh lied to support Arohi marrying Abhi - which no one knows yet. Mahima facilitated the whole Tilak disaster. Anand feels like he’s not fully okay either.

And yet today the Birlas scenes towards the end especially were heavy with love and loss and emotion. Specially the scene of Harsh losing the strength in his legs. I was getting none of that while watching the Goenka scenes. All I was getting was the anger of Bade Papa of having his izzat lowered. I was getting no feeling that this is a family that loves Akshu or for that matter even Arohi.

There was no support for Akshu from Kairav which I found heartbreaking. He had no qualms to ask her to leave the house but he can’t support her in telling the family if the pain she has undergone? He was witness to all this. How did he think Akshu would have the courage to talk about her feeling when his first reaction after thr tilak was to ask her to leave the city?

I’m really finding it difficult to feel any empathy for the Goenkas family.

Dude, i swear. However dysfunctional the Birlas are, at least they care about their family, themselves. Everyone in that family is loved. Neil is adopted, but the only one who makes him feel that way in that house is Harsh. Rest everyone loves him.

And the Goenkas? The Goenkas treat Akshara like she's an outsider. Like she's someone they've done some ehsaan on by taking her in. That she has to be grateful that she's even part of the family, and has to take everything they throw at her.

As the saying goes - there's always something behind the black and white, if you scratch the surface. The contrast today reminded me of that.

Kairav is a total disappointment in the role of a brother. He is the one person who knows both sides of the story but chose to stay mum. Until now I thought he at least understood Akshara and her thought process. But today he came across as spineless. He is better off hiding under the blanket with a bottle of Vicks.

Harsh and Abhimanyu scene was the highlight of the episode for me. So many emotions on both sides. And you are right. I didn't see any of those in Akshara's family. Only angry turbulence with Manish and Arohi whacking Akshara with their words and the rest watching the show like mute audience.

Agreed that it's different because of the genders and Indian famillies tend to put the "ghar ki izzat" mostly on the girl's shoulders but even then... as I said... Kairav standing up for Akshara would have made a whole lot of difference.

Bade papa was given the screaming dialogues.

And swarna spoke once as a pretend that please dont lose your temper.

Kv and Vansh stood mute like.

Mimi has lost her fire and smoke both. she is 100yrs old and no one cares.

Is this the way to show the door to the Goenkas their time is limited. We gradually loose interest in them and when they disappear no one cares.

Arohi has the most detailed work at this point among the goenkas.

So that is what it means.

For Ak we know she is the lead so we keep empathizing with her since we are CONDITIONED.

And the girl in the character is so cute in real that I am sitting through the nonsense then I go watch her on insta page.

I am also wondering if there is more to this girl and if the cvs r giving us a message through her dress choices.

She comes back and wears a net dress for the night? while arohi wears sweats n goes to bed.. this girls sits and watches old pictures?

Abhi learns to makes perfect ladoos and she sits alone doing nothing but crushing ladood but again finding herself alone in pictures and trying to gain audience sympathy.

Aree.. you were with your lover... why are you pretending? you missed the marriage dude!!

Isnt this her own making? why is she clingy? all this respect for family love for sister leads the family to public shame.

I dont know how we can ignore those just coz they are protagonists.

If Arohi had actually runway from the wedding we would be mad at her so why be happy when Ak is missing with the groom!!

I have been trying to look at this realistically. coz this is the only series I watch Hindi.

Normally I would say - yes. But today's episode... no. Manish and Harsh - both their izzat got smeared. In fact there'd been more phone calls at the Birla house from nosy "well-wishers". Both men were angry. But as twisted as Harsh is portrayed... he was genuinely confused and hurt...and tired with his son's behaviour. Be it his eyes or his legs giving out...that aspect has come across. Those things had been missing in Manish. Or maybe just that this guy is a better actor, I don't know.

I think today in her initial conversation with manish she clearly told him that she doesnt feel ashamed of loving abhi and she clearly accepted her feelings...though she is happy that she finally has abhi she is sad that she hurt her family...it is same as before for her...before she dint have abhi but her family was happy so she was half happy then and half happy even now thats how she is ig

also had abhi not pushed her so much she would have definitely let the marriage happen i feel but since its a serial they have gotten together somehow...

and many were having doubt what if akshara backs out in future i can tell that she wil never backout from the decision she has taken she is way too stubborn...though she takes time to take a decision but she just sticks to it

i think from now on it will be more of aksharas growth

I put the entire blame of this whole fiasco on Arohi😈 because it's her selfish intent and deeds 😡which has caused this confusion🤢. Any sane individual will not want to marry someone who proclaim to not have any love for them. That too when she is the only one to know that both the others involved love each other. Abhi has narrated on tilak day how he was madly in love with akshara and how much he wanted her in his life. Arohi assumed she was letting a relationship bloom on akshara's sacrifice and she can be assured of fulfilled dreams because akshara can be emotionally manipulated and gaslighted. But little did she realise when the facade breaks, the glass shards can prick her really bad💔.

I hope she realizes one day, that if she had spoken the truth after Tilak #1 , things wouldn't come to this. Na arohi abhi engagement hoti na shadi tak baat aati . Only arohi would be unhappy which she anyways is , whatever akshu does. To make arohi happy , she will probably have to die , and then she can take pride in the tears which arohi may shed for sometime.

There are 2 facets to this. Try and try until you succeed , bec akshu might be hopeful that there will be a day when arohi will love her..second is , she will risk everything that she has , abhimanyu, her own status as abhimNyus wife and birlas bahu, her peace of mind , goekas , in this hope . Is the risk worth taking or not , I don't know ..but it's gonna be a very tiring journey 🥱

Anyways. It's not like goenkas had no idea of akshi and abhimanyu. Abhimanyu declared his love for akshu openly in front of both the families. Then howcome they never asked akshu what's on her mind ? Plus it's their fault also ke they agreed for abhi -arohi alliance when they heard abhimanyu telling them that he loves akshu. Why not discuss further , why not take more time from them? It's bec they were fooled the second time by their daughters that manish is so irritated. Probably not the izzat band.
