I posted this in another thread and think it's relevant here as well. It's also something a lot of you have mentioned

I agree, Arohi, Abhimanyu, Akshara all are at fault. But we can't forget that Akshara is the way she is, because she has been conditioned to be this way. This is what she has been forced to become.

She is silent, because she has had to remain silent her entire life. Arohi has always taunted, insulted, bullied Akshara and not even one person in the Goenka family has stopped her.

And when it comes to Arohi, she is also the way she is, because no one has shown her another way. She has not had anyone stop her from doing anything she wants, no one even stops her from blaming akshu for Sirat's death. So over the years, she has also started to believe that she's the only right one.

This is all a result of bad parenting honestly.

I don’t think she is at risk of losing abhis respect as long as she keep standing up for him the way she has done - when it comes to his reputation and his life. He looks at her in awe in these moments when she fights against her own family, fate and physical harm to be there for him. I don’t think Abhi realised his mistaken anger about Arohi sending her to help him during his case until his mother said it. She is not a whimpering idiot. Akshara is a life partner to crave and Abhi knows it. She is proud of who she is and unwilling and unwanting to following some trend it try to be like Abhi (which is all Arohi is!)

It is only her sister and family who weaken her.

The thing is she can fight the world for Abhi but has trouble facing her own family.

she fiercely dealt with Ruby and courageously faced a fire all for Abhimanyu. So it’s not that she can’t fight.

The problem is as with most of us, there is two versions of us. One we are with our family and the one we truly are away from family conditioning, expectations and pressures. Akshu from an early age has been taught to adjust around Arohis desires and slowly this increased until Akshu is now adjusting around everyones desires. Her own desires never even register with her at this point. For Arohi she left the family and for Arohi she returned. Kairav asked her to leave and she did without question. Knowing Goenkas don’t like or get along with Birlas she tried to stop thinking about Abhi. Her every move is a direct response to someone elses needs and wants. Abhi is the only desire of her own she has had since forever so for him she starts making her own decision and even than it’s only when he is in danger. Going against family to save him from Ruby despite everyone including him trying to stop her.

Akshu also has ptsd from Sirats death and it gets trigger and made worst when faced with Arohi’s vile behaviour.

It might take a lot for her to overcome these but at least she has a proper support system in Abhi now. That alone will make a world of difference to her healing.

If she is turning a new leaf after marriage, I’m all for it!! But if she gets caught up with the same problems once again, and since we are being told Arohi might become another Birla bahu, she is at the risk of repeating the same doormat lifestyle! And yes, abhi being with her is a blessing..she is going to need all the love and attention from him and possibly his mom as well! ❤️

Her ptsd problems are the reason I m coming back to this useless Goenkas! After both her parents death, it’s like they forgot Akshu exists.. bade papa was talking abt all the time she could have come to him with truth.. but where was he when she was sent away for Arohi’s sake, where was he when Arohi’s tilak tamasha was happening! Ek baar bhi kisne akshu se puucha tak nahi, does she have the same feelings for him! They inform Akshu, her rishta is getting fixed and then next they say inform, Sry akshu, it was a misunderstanding, it is fixed for Arohi instead! Like sorry se kaam chalega? Uski feelings hi nahi hai! 😡😡 Them and their bloody logic!

This thread is amazing finally a discussion about mental health and years of abuse! As much it's fun to have banter about who is at fault more! We can't unsee the treatment/bullying that has been handed out to akshu. From the outside everything looks so perfect, rich family, living together but the foundations are rotten! Every single one of the gonekas are responsible for how akshu is today, they let it happen, I really really hope the makers show something related to mental health and the help that's available! I swear there should be trigger warnings before the episode airs and also helpline contacts at the end like British shows!

no matter how you deal with her, she refuses to see her mistakes because in her world she can never be wrong! I doubt her character was conditioned by the family because even as a child she was constantly demeaning Akshu and taking her things. Feels like she was born entitled and bratty.

Akshu on the other, you’ve nailed it. The way she was raised has made her the quiet, docile, sacrificial lamb and as you said the family is still not pleased.

I do feel bad for Manish and kind of agree with him but at the same time I wanted to smack him for that dialogue of his. He said something like you two have grown so much that you don’t need us anymore. We’re just like an audience watching you two run your lives and clapping or something. Fact is that is exactly what the Goenkas have been doing for years now so why is he complaining now? Because the issues have made it past the inside of their house and a private show has now turned public? Hypocrisy seems to be a Goenka family trait🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Aarohi train of delusions runs only in front of her family. This girl can make a five year old kid look like a serial killer with her arguments. Should have been a lawyer would have confused the judge himself and made him runaway. Yesterday she told she didn't lie we all assumed it and today she is like yes I lied.

She has a card to play at everyone. She has all cards to play on everyone

Was fighting with Mahima like she provoked a 5 year kid to steal chocolate.

Kairav offed his button with sauthela card.

This girl and her hypocrisy level are to another level.

Had made her sister to back off from her lover and she went behind him.

If she kept quiet it wasn't her fault but if akshu kept quiet she is a lier.

If she went after a guy it is not wrong but akshu confessing her love is wrong.

The timing is also not wrong the moment she knew her sister doesn't love abhi she took action not to ruin lives. If it's late after wedding then it's the real fault.

Manish is right with his questions only if he had not been such a hypocrite and watched aarohi demeaning akshu for years. I can't imagine a 10 year old going through whatever akshu went through.

I found it very interesting that for the Goenkas and bade pappa the marriage getting cancelled at thr last minute is the big shameful event. I’m not being naive - in any family this would be a big deal. It’s terrible that’s the happened this way. But they are not feeling ashamed about the real cause of this event. The fact that they have brought up the two girls in such a dysfunctional way. That Akshu thinks it is normal to have to take this kind of abuse form Arohi and that Arohi things it’s ok to abuse her sister and belittle her like this.

Btw same applies to the Birlas as well. Look at Mahima and Harsh abs their role in this.

See in Birla's side when abhi was put on spot these people talked and supported them every now and then. Selfish thing or not they did it. That's where they stand.

But akshu the girl was outright abused in front of strangers whether she is at fault or not that secondary but she was abused by her younger sister and non raised voice. Not even behind the closed doors she was supported. Now Manish can't talk about the girls doing things behind their back for the sake of it. His questions were right but i could care less for it. Then what's the use of telling akshu is their pride, pyaari and ladli those are empty words.
