I would love that track would make both of them realise a few things.

Agreed, me neither. The character evolution is going in a less likeable direction here - AH went from bullying man-child to a calmer, kinder, emotionally mature man (barring the last dozen or so episodes), Abhimanyu is going in the exact opposite direction...

In response to the posts saying Abhi is right, he is only doing what Akshara asked and to those asking why only criticize Abhi, Akshara and/or Arohi are asking for this by their behavior, here's what I have to say.

First, it's a TV show so all our opinions are equally valid (and equally irrelevant - unless one of you is part of DKP and can rewrite the show, in which case you deserve a tomato chucked at your head for all the nonsense we're seeing😡).

Second, Abhimanyu was presented to us as a romance novel fantasy. A rich, tall, dark, handsome ubercompetent surgeon who is level-headed, sorted and secure in himself despite a dysfunctional family. He has developed a habit of meditation and prayer to center and calm himself. He prides himself on his straight talk, his ability to resolve problems, his dignified and honorable behavior (TAMEEZ), his protectiveness towards women from getting hurt or insulted because after all he himself has a sister and loves his MAA, his professionalism and ability to separate personal from workplace behavior. We have been told these are his values, his essential character traits. And he's played by dreamboat Harshad Chopda - well no wonder Akshara (and all of us initially) fell in love with him!😆

But the beauty and strength of a person's value system and their character is that it's supposed to guide them through all circumstances in their life and in all their interactions/relationships with other humans. It's a person's universal code of conduct. Not just during the good times, not just when things are going right, not just with nice people. If the writers wanted us to continue to admire Abhimanyu, this is what they needed to show in all these plot twists and turns.

Decent strong-minded people act according to their value system, immature petty people react according to provocation and circumstances. Abhimanyu' s behavior has now completely trashed his entire supposed value system and shown him up to be despicable, selfish and weak - REGARDLESS of who else may or may not be a despicable character. So the what-aboutism regarding Akshara, Arohi or whichever other character is just not a valid excuse for HIS behavior.

In fact Abhimanyu is barely a functioning character at this point - he is a damn weathervane, spinning without control whichever way the wind blows. Akshara was shown a certain way and her character has remained consistent (if boring). Arohi was shown a certain way and her character has also remained consistent (if bratty). But Abhimanyu is a nightmarish joke and has no consistency or moral core left. Even if he goes back to being the adarsh romance novel poster boy once Abhira are together, he is ruined as a character as far as I'm concerned. Kartik in S2 was unfortunately developed exactly the same way after Kaira marriage.

There are dozens of posts out there (and some on this thread) outlining how Abhi could still keep his distance from Akshara (thus doing what she asked), deal with his heartbreak in a dignified and constructive manner, and be fair to Arohi (remember, to him she is the person who SAVED HIS LIFE). Or, you know, he could just think of an intelligent way to resolve this issue (hint: TALK to Akshara calmly and reasonably instead of this constant alternating romancing/flirting and bullying/taunting).

But how he is being portrayed could not be more IDHAR, UDHAR. I mean, we had a post asking who would actually want a real-life Abhi and everyone on that thread (except maybe one person) said hell, no! So it's not just an isolated opinion that Abhi has become a toxic caricature, many many of us feel this way with good reason. The writers need this reality check - even Harshad Chopda is not going to save this character if this keeps going. Let's hope his image is not damaged by having portrayed this role.

Recently Sandip Sikcand produced Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali. A copy of his own OG Gorintaku

The FL is a widow and ML a petty thief. In the telugu OG both of them evolved together.

When he brought it to SP, the creatives asked for changes. The petty thief became a larger than life jeweller cum smuggler. From a FL centric story, Sikcand shaped it in such way that focus shifted to the ML.The actor too was telugu and did justice to his role.

Initially he was ruthless, cold blooded, arrogant, totally flawed with no filter when it comes to speaking or addressing anyone..

A playboy and a ladies man. No decent woman will touch with a bare pole..

His transition was not smooth but the creative gave him a heart of gold.

He was the reason why SP audiences gave 1.1 trp to a dead slot

Many BPians followed MHRW and we could connect with RR because of Aditya Hooda.

Here a top notch surgeon is behaving like Kabir Singh and is paving his own path of destruction.

Abhimanyu controlled his emotions. He knew how to behave. For a good 2 months the man was submissive.

When you are rejected so many times for whatever reason, it is in your capacity to introspect as.to what has gone wrong..If there is no sufficient reason, then do not trample your dignity and self respect.

Abhimanyu is out of character these days.

Harshad is not Michael Jackson. He can manage simple steps and in Kis desh Sushant and he d danced well together.

Aaj aise lag raha tha ki medical cannibas vape karke aya hai.

I don’t really know how it works - I’m guessing HC has to do what the script asks. Can he actually get the script modified, I don’t know…

I’ll tell you that even before the matched wounds on the ring fingers trope, I have been noticing little plot similarities between YRKKH and BP. So maybe these lazy ass writers are just trying to piggy back off HC’s success in BP and have decided to model him on Aditya 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ve been weirded out by Abhimsbyu’s character since pretty much the get go. But I find myself not enjoying HC’s performance as much either lately because of the character inconsistencies and over the top behavior. So yeah… it’s an odd role for him maybe. Im not that much of a fan girl to keep watching just cause he’s HAWT (he is, but I can go find some of his older shows to drool over 😆)

He cannot modify the script as per his preference. Humsafars, Dharam Patni and Bepannaah writers initially showed the bad side and then redeemed him

In BP, I don't consider Ram Sita track inconsistent, Rajveer made an indecent proposal, Zoya had to sell her soul to the devil, it is close to reality, people ask for sexual favours, (I dnt know why HC was touchy about it)

Here Utkarsh maintained Abhimanyu for a while. Fans complained why HC is controlling his emotions. Well that was his style of enacting AbHi as per UT's script. Bhavna made him a Manju. He went on pleading and got rejected.

Saba atleast got Abhira drunk

They had perfect husband and wife vibes.

Within 24 hrs Abhimanyu changes his stand, becomes bitter and acts as if Akshara has taken him to the gallows. Typical Kabir Singh. I am okay with the sarcasm but if Dr Abhimanyu Birla is dancing like he is possessed then it is the director and script writers fault for giving him a 360° turn.

Now we will see another Dr Abhimanyu where he is sent on a guilt trip to the moon. He won't forgive himself for uttering all the rubbish to Akshara.

Add 180° to 360°

In two weeks

time the audiences saw 50 different shades of Abhimanyu.

Whereas Akshara is highly consistent, she decides, advises and maintains her stand.

These women writers are high on Aditya Hooda or HC's performance in Bepannaah. Aditya belonged to Ani Sir. He created him.

Bhavna and Saba shld bring Raghuvendra Pratap Singh instead. His character traits are more appropriate for Akshara.
