They deserved it!

Regardless of how inconsistent Kartik and Naira's likability as individual characters have been since 2018....Shivin deserved award for best actor and best actress in popular category even in critic category...as they gave countless brilliant performances...they deserve it for all 2018-2019 tracks...for Mumbai, Brain Clot, Divorce, Pregnancy, Baby's death, Baby Swap, Memory Loss, Puru Mama track...for all Kaira scenes after 5 year leap...face off, confrontations, child's illness, child's surgery, janmashtmi, dandiya, drunk scenes they outshined every single time with their versatility and portrayal of emotions more than convincingly...Shivin's chemistry can't take away their hard work...their conviction & dedication while portraying Kartik and Naira...them understanding even the minor details of every single scene is praiseworthy...them developing connection with viewers specifically as Kaira is praiseworthy...If RS think people will stop watching the show if they get to know "Kartik aur Naira ka yeh rishta kya kehlata hai"....than he is living in delusion....people watch the show as they "know" yeh rishta kya kehlata hai...till them introducing divorce papers again last week general viewers believed that Kartik and Naira are legally married and Vedika's marriage was illegal...now void marriage is considered legal...and Kaira miraculously got divorced after signing papers...without even submitting divorce papers in court?...Divorce procedure is completed within 2-3 days?...to address husband and wife as ex-husband and ex-wife?...As anticipation was lost last week and Vedika was given more importance than being chai wali...trp is back to regular yrkkh trp pre Mihir's track...next week trp will rise...or will stay same...as drunk Kaira was surely a treat to watch...

You know, its usually not the PH that calls for all these stupid changes in the writing of the show. Its actually the channel, and they do this on dipsticks that they run every month for audience perception. I have a friend who is in this dipstick business, and they say that the Indian TRP audience is a very melodramatic one.

Imagine! The main sponsor for yrkkh is Dabur Amla, now look at the demographics of people who use or would want to switch use to Dabur Amla hair oil. Thats what the channel is after. Its all about advertising revenue that the channel is getting.... so more often than not, its the channel that is calling the shots.

So people watch what they want to watch, and RS has a good control on the pulse of what work's with this kind of audience, IMHO.

I have also been reading some of the SS and FF's on this forum and I can tell you, that the writers also belong to this melodramatic mentality. You have to read them to figure that more often than not, these fan fiction writers write about plots that describe Naira being tortured by the Goenka's, an Egoistic Kartik, who refuses to forgive Naira even though he knows its not her fault, the arrogant Manish ... I mean if ff's are going to be so bad, why do we even think that we can call anybody delusional. I mean the same person could be feeding mystery cakes to their audience too, to keep the game going.
